Why are people using this as some diss at the GM? If an injured player can go on IR, they go on IR. This just means they're giving him all the time off he needs.
I expect he'll still be back well before the playoffs, and now we get to see if any of our depth goalies can hack in in the NHL.

Might be best to cut bait from Murray this summer if possible. Wanted to root for him especially with him being a Leaf fan and all but he's just way too broken physically and mentally.

Because every hockey person in the world knew Murray had a history of injuries.
Any little bump or bruise and he claims injury.
Murray sat on the bench and practiced with the team but couldn’t even make it thru the pre game warm up with out skating off claiming injury.
Its all in his head
Dubas should not have got this guy.
Who will take him off our hands and how much will it cost us to get rid of him

According to cap friendly it will cost the Leafs 687,000 in cap in 2023-2024 and then 2.0m in 2024-2025. It's no ideal but completely manageable.
