Zucc has been a solid player ever since he came back. If we had him for the earlier part of the season, we'd have a few more wins under our belts. He works hard, plays with grit, and finds ways to create scoring chances. Richards has also looked much better when playing with Zucc

He may have used Nash's attempt to scout Reimer.

Nash's move was similar to Zucc's signature move, and when I saw the replay it was obvious that you could drive a freight train through Reimer's 5-hole. Good on Zucc if he made the read and adapted.

Atm Zuke reminds me a little bit of Fedotenko. I mean he dosent produce, but he checks hard and steals the puck. If he can continues doing that, im sure Torts will be patient with him.

Its not about having the most awesome stats, but about winning games. Players like Zuke and Boyle may not be great goalscorers, but they can contribute in other ways.

Agree. Extremely frustrating that his teammates dont bury the point blank chances he creates. Last night it was Brassard. The game before, Stepan broke his stick, and so on. To me it actually looks like a lot of times his mates arent ready for his passes.....They should know by now that he can make passes from ANYWHERE!
 
Why doesn't he shoot himself instead of all these passes. It all comes down to this, if he's scoreless by the end of this season they wont sign him.

He will have 5-8 points by the end of the season. If they do not resign him it will be Torts mistake. Slats obviously likes the guy. He will be a NHL FA and go produce somewhere else just like PA. The kid wants to be a Ranger. He is a good player. Not a Crosby but not a scrub. He will put up 45-60 points in a full regular season playing legit minutes.
 
I really like seeing playing with a slight edge like last night, drawing the penalty on Phaneuf. I think he has certainly played well once he got back to NY. I hope he gets signed and sticks with the team for a while. And I did not know that he was only 25 so he is still a young guy.
 
He's shut me up so far this season. Mainly because he seems to be playing with a little, dare I say, JAM.

But honestly he's been playing feisty and has been sound defensively. He's been a more than welcome addition thus far.

I was never in love with him but he's growing on me each game.
 
I think maybe some of Zuccarellos improved form this time around may be credited to his stick. :)

For his last stint in the NHL he had his trademark abysmal long stick shortened a little to be better prepared for the board battles, and the smaller NHL-rink.

When he went to Russia, he went back to his long version again, and kept that when he returned to the Rangers this year.

If he was 3-4 inches taller and american, he'd be Tort's favorite player
 
Zucc is also the Rangers clown in the locker room, I heard they have a lot of fun in there. Last night he had to wear the broadway hat, it didn't look too bad :D

He is definitely well liked in that room. I read several players make comments showing they were happy he was coming back and some mentioned his presence in the locker room.
