Just read that every point Zooks had in the playoffs was a primary point. I liked that.

Why is this important - it might change his game too, and I don`t like that.
A or not A, it`s not important for me personally and that is my view though, but then again I understand other opinions who want an A on Zucc instead of other players on this team.

It might happen it depends who will get moved over the summer.

It hasnt been a big thing for me personally, I've been on board with those who has felt that it might be a detriment to Zucc if he got one.

After watching him lead by example these playoffs, and not least the post-game comments, its become clear to me that Zucc is probably the best suited to wear one of the assistant captain badges.

While i am not fuzzed about him getting a letter (i am in the ranks of people worrying how that might affect his game negatively), people on this forum are not the only ones thinking about him getting a letter on his uniform.

Article in the NY Post by Larry Brooks :

"Mats Zuccarello, the team’s most competitive and perhaps smartest player, isn’t going anywhere. And if by some chance the Rangers get an offer for McDonagh that they cannot refuse, No. 36 wouldn’t be the worst choice to get the captaincy"
 
I've said Zooks should get a letter for years now. The guy is all effort. He's not the answer to winning a Stanley Cup, but I really believe he's a piece. I don't trade pieces like that away if I'm Gorton.
 
The guy is a leader both on and off the ice. If the opportunity presents itself, Zucc would look really handsome with an A.
 
I think the team already looks at him as a leader. Id rather not take a chance of a letter adding pressure on him. Id rather him stay just the way he is already.
 
I still think Gorton should always be gauging his worth on the market, (just as he should with all of this roster), but Zucc is likely going nowhere. Stepan is the more likely piece to bring in a much-needed upgrade at RD, or perhaps add a top ten pick to select someone like Middlestadt.
 
I wish we had Zucc in the OT 4-3 power play vs Finland - easy 2 pts.
Finland is not a good team in this world championship, nice goal by Honka though & A. Martinsen! :)

Ryan Callahan was all effort. Zuccs is effort plus amazing skill. He is easily the best player on the team right now.
 
I have absolutely no worries that Zucc will drop his game due to pressure if he gets an ´A´ next season. Way to professional to let it affect his game.

If any of the alternate captains leave the team this summer, I cannot se anyone that suits it better than Zucc.

But I agree that it´s not really important, and I guarantee that it isn´t for Zucc either.

There's a case to be made that he deserves the "C" on this team. If an "A" opens up this offseason, he will likely be the coaching staff's first choice for it.

Fast with an A, interesting suggestion. I think the players would be pretty happy with that choice seeing how popular he's with his teammates.

If McD is traded, Stepan is probably next in line for the C. Zucc will very likely get an A before the season starts if one is available
