If Maccelli is the worse threat for our villages. We can sleep. He's good but cmon...
.75+ on Coyotes, as a rookie is more than decent. Also beeing +3 on a -67 team is impressive. Especially when ozS is <50%

In a 82 game regular season, Maccelli is pace for 50 assists.

Last 15 years rookie (assists) scoring top 5 :

Barzal 63 in 82 games (17-18)
Panarin 47 in 80 games (15-16)
Nugent-Hopkins 43 pace (11-12)
Marner 42 in 78 games (16-17)
Gaudreau 40 in 80 games (14-15)

85+170=255 (0.90 ppg)

Where ever he has played, he has always produced.

Him being almost 0.80 ppg in his rookie season in the NHL
is just continuum from his previous seasons.

I fully expect him to be way over 1.00 ppg next season

Maccelli would have to considerably improve his shooting for that to happen or play with some serious sniper to rack up assists.

Hopefully Utah becomes a playoff team so we can see Maccelli play meaningful games. Would hate for him to become this generation's Ladislav Nagy: a great draft steal & producer who almost never plays in the playoffs.
