He has honestly been awesome since game 1. I expected Anaheim to be terrible but they aren't because of players like McTavish who have taken steps forward.

With him and Leo Carlsson I wonder if Zegras will be the odd man out in a few years.
Can confirm. Even the fourth line has been more effective at playing the puck than him. Of course he draws tougher match ups but it's still excruciating watching plays die on his stick. I was pro naming Terry as captain given his articulate media availability and that he seems to be a great teammate. But on some level you have to set a good example on the ice, and right now that's not an example anyone should be following.
He's already pivoted to the wing when Leo draws into the lineup.
I think today was one of Terrys worst games but he’s definitely had some great games too. He doesn’t concern me and I think the hate is a little over the top.

He makes more negative impact plays with the puck than positive ones even in games where he plays "well" I'm sorry but the dude is fighting himself right now. I love the guy but this has been far from a good season for him so far. Plenty of time to turn it around but it's been rough so far.
Again I think that’s blowing it way out of proportion. Seen him play very well at times this year controlling the play and the puck, but agree to disagree I guess.

Controlling the puck for too long and then losing it. I don't think possession is somehow improved by possessing for too long, not looking for passes, and then coughing it up. But yes. Agree to disagree. Not much sense fighting after such an epic win. Like I said. I'm a Terry fan and I hope and believe he turns it around. Zegras too, though I'm not as concerned with his current play.
Mac, as good as he's been could be even more effective if he cleans a few things up. He's making the plays count though and he's on his way to being a top line quality center. That's worth being excited about in the same season Mintyukov is showing he's destined to be a true 1D.

They are different players but I don’t think anyone was expecting Zegras to be for sure better then McTavish or anything so this comment is weird.

Hes producing more right now, but zegras has been fine for the most part... its a good problem to have
