Dallas should accept this. Makes a lot of sense for them IMO.Habs offer a 1st (17th) and Kapanen.
I would take either of those for sure. Seems pretty reasonableMatty Havelid or Kasper Halttunen and Ottawa's 2nd (pre draft
Or
Havelid and Halttunen (post draft)?
Pens offer their 2026 2nd for Borque and Dumba. He’s going to get value, many teams will want him.
Dumba will likely cost a pick to unload.
After that, not sure what other changes they will make to fill out their roster. That won’t be enough and I’m curious what happens with Bourque because I wonder if he wants an offer sheet for a better opportunity. I’ll also add if Bourque does go, I think it’s a trade. Instead of waiting for what could be a third to get him I think the bidding war of teams offering Dallas trades before he signs.
Yeah, a "net wash cap wise" is definitely not the point here for Dallas since they need to cut Cap. They will trade those guys for zero-cost futures, or would in worst case pursue a buyout before being able to just swap for the same $$$ coming back. Not sure if it helps the cap concerns, but I’ve floated the idea of Marchment + Dumba for Hamilton
It’s a net wash cap wise but I don’t think it’s possible after the Rantanen extension unless Benn and Duchene take discounts to stay with Dallas.
Why? Marchment was on pace for iver 60 + points!Dallas should accept this. Makes a lot of sense for them IMO.
Montreal should not offer this or pay this.
Montreal isn't a real contender yet. Young player + 1st round pick is too much for a non-contender to give for a middle 6 winger one year away from UFA.Why? Marchment was on pace for iver 60 + points!
No they don‘t. They should keep those assets to get a C.Habs offer a 1st (17th) and Kapanen.
Why is everyone under valuing Marchment? He was on pace for iver 60 points and is a big body.
