Bad hit.

But he actually hasn’t had many dirty plays this year. Pretty funny that everyone complains the league is soft and when someone comes up and starts laying the body then people complain he’s a goon and should be out of the league. Gotta love the 2020s
using the internet to get opinion isn't a great idea, the loudest voices tend to be the ones unhappy with something specific. The people complaining that the league is soft are not the same people that are complaining about the hit on Larsson

He was taking runs at multiple players, the bloke was begging the league to suspend him for something. He gave them a great one at the expense of injuring another player.

Entire game he was taking runs. He was hell bent on creating a reputation by the end of that game.

Oh for sure, I mean there's totally no other incident by that bloke that would suggest otherwise.......

"not a dirty player.."

So these incidents mean he shouldn't be in the NHL?

I love how you cut out one line of the guys post to chastise too. Are you on twitter?

I thought it was interesting that this was called checking from behind. Dunn turned before the hit and it ended up being shoulder to shoulder. But it was definitely boarding.

My only homer defence of Pospisil is that he likely expected Dunn to move earlier and was approaching with that mindset. He's not allowed to do that of course, so a good time to teach him that lesson via discipline.
It was still a checking from behind, he hit him in the back of the shoulder and the back.

It’s not like it was to the side.

Explain what this has to do with him being an NHL level player or not please.

And further explain where you got me saying he’s not a dirty player? I mean, you cut out the entire portion where I said the hit was awful.

The league has never demonstrated that this type of hit is even remotely okay to make. The argument that Dunn put himself in a dangerous position doesn't apply here because Dunn was never eligible to be hit.
He's absolutely eligible to be hit... just not directly in the numbers, face first into the boards.

My assessment:

1st hit - clean by the rule book but reckless.

2nd hit - suspendable offense.

Both hits - WTF are the Kraken D-men doing having their back to the play for so long (especially on the second one), that close to the boards, without any movement and without taking a look? This does not excuse Pospisil's actions but if my Kid was doing this in minor hockey, I would be giving him the gears after the game for not protecting himself. It's like defensive driving, just because it's not your fault doesn't mean you couldn't have prevented it.

Both hits borderline. Could see the suspension being warranted

That being said, Seattle defensemen need to move their god damn feet.

Well if you are Slovakian I'm certainly not going to argue with you. I'll take your word for it. I was told there weren't a lot of similarities between the two languages and Slovak would have a difficult time understanding a Russian.. I guess I was told wrong.
Slovak and Russian are about as close as English and German. I am a Slovak and I don't understand when I hear someone talk Russian.

Older Slovaks though have been taught Russian at school before 1989. Many of them still don't really understand Russian.

Slightly confused by this post because English is a Germanic language. About 30% of our common every day English words are German words.

Do you mean Russian and Slovak are about the same as English and Spanish?

Because I can understand and read some German by just being an English speaker because of the similarities in the two languages. I know over the last bunch of centuries English has acquired Romantic language words but it’s still a Germanic language.

Nope, a lot closer. English grammar practically doesn't exist, so it's a much easier language to learn compared to German.

In contrast, both Slovak and Russian are about equally convoluted, and therefore difficult to learn. (Russian even more so than Slovak. The further you go to the east, the more complicated the languages become.)

Pospisil could not possibly look like a bigger bitch than he did with those hits and his subsequent turtling
