Please stop comparing the Leafs to proven winners like Tampa and Pittsburgh, it's distasteful and wrong. For every example like Tampa there are 10x more examples of great teams/players who never win anything.

Our window will be wide open as long as we have stars that carry they're load and work their ass off. Just look into Boston as an example. That isn't worrying thing, if we can draft ok and keep our core the window can be open for 5-10 years, but at moment the effort isn't there. Time we have, but we need the effort. Not only that, our window is closing.
THANK YOU!!!!Please stop comparing the Leafs to proven winners like Tampa and Pittsburgh, it's distasteful and wrong. For every example like Tampa there are 10x more examples of great teams/players who never win anything.
It's such a bizarre quote. It's so perfect for this team and Mitch Marner in particular.
The same Tampa who went to the finals years prior? Great example.Tampa won 0 games the year before winning, it is almost like everyone's path to the cup is different and past seasons don't dictate future ones, otherwise no one would be worried about how we are playing right now.
2015 --> FinalsThe same Tampa who went to the finals years prior? Great example.
Saw a Babcock gif in the GDT reminded me Keefe will be the 2nd coach Mitch "Grown man" Marner has gotten fired so far on the Leafs
I've said since his contract shitshow. He needs to be traded. He isn't clicking. Toronto isn't working for him. Multiple coaches and GM's have been unable to make him show up for hockey games.Saw a Babcock gif in the GDT reminded me Keefe will be the 2nd coach Mitch "Grown man" Marner has gotten fired so far on the Leafs

He's backing them up.Only he and tender showed up last night .. wow .. at least Mitch is backing up his comments
They made the cup final two years prior
Must be getting desperate if this is what you're coming up with
It's ok it'll all be over soon then you and Dekes can cheer for the Sudbury Wolves when it's the only job Dubas can get.
He's backing them up.
He had so much fun in the warmth of Vegas and California and that's really all that mattes
That won’t happen. The blind love will just move on to the next one.Oh how glorious the bolded will be when all the dubas fan boys leave the Leafs and follow their boy wonder to the ohl.
It will still be a sad waste of 4+ years of matthews, marner and Nylander but at least then we can get back on track.
During the 92 playoff run Marty Mcsorley tried to kill Gilmour who made the mistake of cutting across the ice on the “trolley tracks”. Clark jumped the guy who had maybe only a couple inches in height but had about a 40 pound edge on him and was one of the league’s heavyweights.Gilmour put up 63 points between his 92 and 93 playoffs, Clark had 66 playoff points in his entire career.
Everybody eh? Just because some talking head on a media panel made that remark trying to be cute and funny doesn’t make it “everybody”. It used to be the other fans on this board had nothing to make fun of wrt Matthews so they would mock his nostrils or call him mr October, the Leafs fans did not. Now they can legit call him a playoff no-show because unfortunately that’s what recent history has proven him to beAll players and lines go through ups and downs. The top line has a combined 16 points in 7 games, with them being out of sync and all converting much less than normal. They're off to a slow start relative to their potential, but that does not justify this type of treatment from media or fans - especially ones that spent the whole offseason talking about how the regular season was irrelevant. Toronto's sports media will make fuel out of literally anything.
Heck, the team and the top line started worse last year, and people were jumping ship, and we ended up setting a franchise record, Matthews ended up with 60 goals and won the Hart, and Marner ended up with 97 points in 72 games. Do people not learn?
And before then, when Matthews used to start out blazing hot, everybody mocked him and called him "Mr. October".

Then he should just shut up and do something to inspire his team...on the iceNo, he just knows that no matter what he says or does, a certain section of the fanbase will twist it, exaggerate it, cherry pick it, and hate his guts anyway - just like that individual you're quoting only posting part of the quote to take it out of context.
We literally have a 20-page thread on the most nothing of comments. Toronto sports media knows how to manipulate their viewers.
If you believe this, you're an idiot, no one cheers for the GM, everyone cheers for the same team, they just have different opinions on what is best for the team.
Some people disagree with you. Get over it.I made a poll. Many literally voted for the option that they want to keep dubas as gm no matter the number of times we fail to win a single round.
That is not a leaf fan. That's a dubas fan boy.
