(If anyone cares) his last two games has bumped Hallander's PPG from 0.4 to 0.53 (he had a 0.52 last season) and his NHLe from 16 to 21.2 (only marginally behind SDA, Holmberg & Ovchinnikov who are all having excellent seasons). Moves him into 8th in U21 points.

It's like I said, a 2 point game changes his entire production outlook on the season so far. That coupled with his bonkers play driving metrics (rel.CF% up 1.3% (+7.9), FF% up 1.5% (+5.5)) especially while being a young 20 year old in such a good league... ya I'm not worried.
It's really only the 3 game pointless streak that started this convo. Before that, his PPG was still at 0.50 which is good.

AND

He's just another good prospect in our pool. IF he was our #1 guy, I'd be more worried, but he's just another cog that brings a different element.
The fact he is maybe our 3rd or 4th best prospect even if you disclude Lilly and Sandin tells us how underrated our pool is. Thats a good thing.

Robertson, Liljegren, Sandin, Amirov and Abramov would be ahead on a lot of prospect lists I'd imagine

So he'd top out at #6 depending on how you feel about that next tier of guys

Yeah I meant without Sandin and Lilly, I think he would be in the 3 to 4 range. 6th sounds pretty accurate overall.

Koster is a very real prospect for the Leafs whose stock will rise over his NCAA career.

Very efficient modern day dman. Strong in transition and plays a tight gap. I like the Dermott comparison.

Dakota Joshua's little brother just crushed Koster from behind.

Got up on his own, hope he's ok. Right back on the PP! All good.

Commentators in the Minnesota game mentioned that Koster is the guy they knew least about coming into the season, but he's impressed them the most. He's impressed me more and more every game I've watched. I'd put good money on him making the NHL in some capacity one day.

I just followed up with Veeti Miettinen and it sounds like he atleast on Finland's camp roster.

Amirov/Abramov/Akhtyamov locks for Russia.
Kokkonen/Hirvonen/Niemela locks for Finland. Miettinen in the mix, and I can follow up with Loponen too.
Robertson obviously a lock for USA.

So atleast 7, possibly 9. Amazing
Got lost in translation with Miettinen here.

He had said, "Our bubble ends on the 21st, but its 50/50", and he now clarified he meant 50/50 as in the invite, and not 50/50 in terms of making it.

Kokkonen, Hirvonen, Niemela are there as expected.

2021 "top prospect" Aatu Raty is an interesting omission.

Too bad about Miettinen. In a normal year where he would have already played ~10 games by now I think he would at least get an invite. He was on virtually every Finnish posters board earlier this year. Loponen is expected but disappointing none the less.

Hopefully we see both Kokkonen and Niemela in the top-4 and Hirvonen in the top-6. Would still make Finland very interesting to watch.

Too bad about Miettinen, but as Wheeler said, his case was complicated from going to College. Still Finland should be fun to watch. Only playing 1 game didn't help either.
Also Ovchinnikov with a goal and an assist.

I think only 4 or 5 guys have put up a higher PPG in the MHL with at least 20 games played in their U-19 seasons. Kucherov was the best one with a 1.78 PPG. Ovchinnikov is currently at 1.61. Definitely very impressive!

Very impressive numbers, Yegor Chinnakov at the same age was a 1.23 PPG in the MHL and he just went in the first round after a hot start in the KHL. Hopefully Ovchinnikov can get a legit chance in the KHL next year.

Certainly tremendous numbers. Too early to be excited though. The VHL/KHL stint will really tell us.
