This is only including the guys who have started so far.

Vlad Kara has been demoted to the VHL after a rough start to his KHL season. Looks like he may be done as a prospect.

Lmao!

It's impressive they were able to limit a player to under a minute.

Gave him a pity shift

I guess it is no different than just sticking him in the pressbox, but he has a better view. If he is not missing any games in the MHL, why not?

I guess it doesn't hurt to have him training/practicing with the big squad. Would be nice if they can find him a few extra minutes, though.

Korshkov scored his teams only goal in 12:56 TOI today in a 3-1 loss.
Scored off of a rebound in front of the net. Thought today was one of his better games of the season.

In the first period alone, he sprung his teammate on a partial breakaway with a near 50ft saucer from the D zone, pulled off a nasty toe drag into the slot for two grade A chances that were stopped by the goalie, and then started a scrum after getting cross-checked from behind.

Chebykin was moved from Chelyabinsk back to Dynamo Moskva, his junior team. No longer on the same team as Vlad Bobylev.

Moskva is not really getting much from their lower lines, so maybe Chebykin can do enough to get a shot in the KHL again. He hasn't played much in the VHL and generally has not done well even when he has, but at this point Dynamo is likely just going to rotate guys until they find one who works. It's the best chance he's got right now and they are not a bad team.

Maybe Bobylev will be given another chance too. He is his VHL team's leading scorer and has already received a game in the KHL by Chelyabinsk. They are a really good team this year but have also struggled to get much from their lower lines. If he can continue to do well, maybe he gets an extended shot to stick in the KHL again as well.

It's not about shift quality. It's how the KHL operates. Young players never play. Today he also only played 25 seconds.
Yup. Weird tho how SDA just got 20min and he got :30secs. You would think since he came from NA that SDA wouldn't get those minutes. Must be playing well then!

KHL doesn't let their junior age players play a ton unless the team doesn't have better options. SDA was probably sent there with reassurance that he would get decent shot at playing time assuming he doesn't play poorly.

Torpedo NN is not that great of a team, and need any kind of talent they can get, so it does check out.

Sibir is a little bit better, although I would say Ovchinnikov should be getting more than 1 shift a night with them if they think he is good enough to be in their lineup at all.

almost seems like the coach thought he was pencilling ovechkin into his roster and didn’t realize until he got on the ice it was ovchinnikov

KHL coaches and organizations operate in some weird ways

You don't have to play the kid 20 minutes a night but giving him enough minutes to get a gauge on how much use he could be for you moving forward would be a smart play

If you give him 5-7 minutes and he doesn't look ready ok but not knowing one way or another isn't helping you make decisions

Abramov is another prospect that I wasn't very high on when we drafted him, but after I saw him at the rookie tournament in Michigan last year, it was very hard not to be impressed. He ended up turning that into an incredible season, and now he has me very excited as a prospect.

I don't know if he makes it to the NHL as a center, but if his game can translate to the wing, we might have a player on our hands.

That draft in general, our first 4 picks are all SMASHING their draft rankings and would all go much higher in a re-draft today.

Robertson
Kokkonen
Abramov
Abruzzese

Abramov scores in the 1st game back from the Covid break.

He's easily our #5 prospect imo

He's a winger imo, I'd be shocked if he's a center at higher levels
