Hear me out, Nylander with Matthews and Marner ... JT centers the 2nd line with (whoever) and Taylor HallActually, I’d like to see the same thing with Nylander getting reps playing C. Putting JT on the top line and putting Willy at C with no reps during the year was shortsighted last year too. At least you’ll know whether you have the option instead of gambling big time.
Not sure how reliable but
Good, get him outta there and get him under the Leafs training staff and playing 60+ games with the Marlies
Yeah, the W’s haven’t come easy during his tenure.Fun fact, this is only the 2nd 3 game winning streak under Moore for the Marlies.
Looked pretty good from what I saw.Anyone with eyes on Woll yesterday?
22/24 is fine sounding, also suggests pretty good D and possession.

Mishandled a puck which cost him a goal.
I haven't seen a lot but if I had to sum up his play this season, so far, I'd say: "encouraging."
Sounds encouraging.I would call him mediocre. Lets in some bad goals and there are some pucks he can play better with his positioning and reaction time, but nothing that should be a cause for concern especially with the quality of defense in front of him. Also makes a number of big saves and doesn't look like he is fighting the puck at all, the latter of which is a major improvement from last year.
Nice, thanksLooked pretty good from what I saw.

I'd be down for that as long as they could get a true shutdown, faceoff-winning, PK-playing, 4th line centre. It is a complete stretch, but I wonder if SDA and Robby could be the framework of our 3rd line next year. Obviously this would not be a line that would necessarily be used as a matchup checking line . This would be used as a tertiary scoring line, that could really cause trouble down the lineup. Not to mention their ELC contracts would come in really nice. It would allow us to move on from Kerfoot, and if we also move on from Freddy we could move some pieces around to make a play for Forsberg, even while giving Hyman a raise. SDA looks surprisingly stronger on the puck than i was expecting, and far more NHL ready than I ever thought he'd be. Its only been 2 games w/ the Marlies, but he also had a very strong season in the KHL. Our window technically is now. But it really is open until when Matthews contract expires. Having SDA in the fold on an ELC would go a long way into freeing up some capital to use elsewhere. Here is what our top 9 could look like:
Forsberg - Matthews - Marner
Galchenyuk - JT - Willy
Robertson - SDA - Hyman
again, this is all in fun. But I have truly been encouraged by SDA's development, and I have been on the record saying I am not overly high on this player in the past

I've only seen a few games but he seems to be a little more composed and has come up big at times on high danger chances. He has been scrambling a lot less.Anyone with eyes on Woll yesterday?

Yes, he definitely needs to get stronger before he's ready to join the Leafs. At least one year away.I've only seen a few games but he seems to be a little more composed and has come up big at times on high danger chances. He has been scrambling a lot less.
I would say his development is moving in a positive direction. Likely still 2 years away.
Surprised they haven't let Scott play a game as of yet....it can't be good for his development.
AHL PTOs get paid im pretty sure, just not a ton. Limited to I think 25 games. If Rodian Amirov signing with the Leafs after his season ends are true, I am assuming the contract will start next year? which would mean he would need to sign an ATO to play with the Marlies this year. Does anyone know what would be the advantage for Rodian to come play? he obviously would not be making money on an ATO correct? I guess the only advantage would be exposure and personal growth for himself. That would be a lot of hockey for him in a single season. Between KHL, MHL and international he has already played 63 games this year. Might be a tall ask to play with the Marlies for the remainder of the year and playoffs should they make it. Especially if he wouldn't be getting paid lol He'd have to have Robertson level drive to want to play that much puck
ok, I don't know anything when it comes to that. Either way, would be a lot of hockey for Rodian. Would totally understand if he and the Leafs organization wanted to give him a break. By the time he finishes with Topler and quarantines, he'd be ready for a playoff push if the Marlies are in one by then. As a fan I'd love to see it, but a long playoff run would put him over 80+ games for the year. Might be a bit much for a kid his age, but i guess he better get used to itAHL PTOs get paid im pretty sure, just not a ton. Limited to I think 25 games.
Only NHL ATO's arent paid, and they are limited to 1 game.
