What got him hired? And Hutch isn't even in net. How about we stop blaming Hutch and understand the coach is awful and should be fired.

What? A coach should be trying to win and developing the players.Rubins Steeves Lilly coached by MOORE playING for LEAFS HIS JOB is to develop players for the TML not to win AHL games
No doubt. I am confident that pretty well all these guys have the right tools to make it. All 3 of the guys I had on the 4th are the ones that I think need to show it at the next level but the others I think will develop nicely.while that line up looks nice, it’s highly unlikely this ever happens. We will sign UFA’s over time
or trade for guys. It never happens that a team is just full of homegrown guys. But I could be wrong, you never know.
He made them talk about him at leastWould really be something if our 7th rounder in Tverberg makes Team Canada over some 1st round picks.
Lol. Teaching good habits and structured play is good for development. Good habits leads to winning games. Winning games is good for development or else you become the Buffalo Sabres.Rubins Steeves Lilly coached by MOORE playING for LEAFS HIS JOB is to develop players for the TML not to win AHL games
Tverberg going to make this Team.
Idk, that one condescending guy who obviously knows more than us told us that Amirov loves the situation he's in.
Kloke's article also says he doesn't think Amirov can break the loan. Might have to wait until the end of the KHL season, in which case, I'm going to be extremely disappointed.
It's crazy how Moore went from "we want to move up in the standings" 2 days ago to "it's good for development" today.
Generally speaking Russians will have more info and insights about situations there, while we tend to speculate instead.
Run this through a translator. It’s a super cool interview with Amirov and his Russian GM about why he wants to develop in his hometown, and will also do so next year if he isn’t in the NHL. It was given after he signed with the Leafs.
Родион Амиров: «Я остаюсь в Уфе еще на один-два года, а потом поеду в «Торонто»
Keep in mind Amirov is 30 games behind the curve. He himself recently said he’s not close to being in game-shape yet. If he’s still being scratched a month from now it’ll be time to worry. But until then it looks like the team is just taking things slowly.
It's enlightening to know somebody gets it!
I'll include this.....a tremendously insightful conversation with Rodya. He discusses everything under the sun. Off-ice life, his time in Toronto, Salavat's training process, his coaches, education, life goals, etc. Very astute kid. It's painfully evident he loves the situation in Ufa.
But I guess he is too stupid to realize the evil KHL has it out for him because he wants to play in the NHL! Poor boy.
Nobody in their right mind believes that it's a worse place to play for him. The KHL is a better league than the AHL.
The issue is the fact that our 1st round pick who was loaned back to the team to play top-6 minutes & top-PP isn't even getting into the lineup. If he's not going to play at all or a minute a game, it's time to bring him over. It's legitimately shocking how this is a debate.
This isn't rocket science. He's recovering from long injury and said he's not in good playing condition. He admitted it was difficult even getting into a groove at VHL level.
If he's not ready for duty and will be a liability because of conditioning issues, he won't be in an AHL lineup either. Give him time to get up to speed. Enough of the 'sky is falling' mentality and sensationlsim. There's still a lot of season left to be played.
Either way, he gave a recent interview and said Toronto is aware of his injury situation and has been in thoughough communication with him. He made it sound like they were fine with how he was being treated.
Of course they were fine with how he was treated.... during injury. If he's healthy enough to be playing 17 minutes in the VHL, he should be healthy enough to be playing in the KHL every game. Salavat absolutely does not have 12 better forwards than him. It's debatable that they have 3.
If he's not playing, you bring him over. If he's playing 1 minute/game, you bring him over. If he's playing 10 minutes a game, it's not ideal, but he's recovering from an injury. It's not rocket science.
