Don't know how his first game went but in Anderson's 2nd game up, he had a couple of poor shifts in the 1st and only 1 more the rest of the game. Keefe had seen enough.

Short leash for that guy.
Hope his cup of coffee helps give him a push to be force the teams hand.

It's actually kind of nuts how closely Miller is resembling Abruzzese.

Both have late birthdays (June vs Sept) and are "undersized" (5'9"). Both were playing in relatively trash leagues in their d0 so they were off the radar. Both had a meh year in a league they should have dominated (.64 vs. .45 ppg in the USHL) in their d1. Both came alive in their D2 (1.29 vs. 1.29 ppg). Now Miller is going to Harvard, same as Abruzzese. Miller needs to CRUSH NCAA comp like Abruzzese did in his "freshman" season to be on the prospect radar, but this season is about the best we could ask for.

Keefe addressed him having only a few shifts and just mentioned it was how the game went, I don't know if he was disappointed in his play or it was just a result of a close game.

Iirc that was the game we moved Spezza up to the top line midway because simmonds was poor and we were behind, which left the 4th line without a C so they didn't play much the rest of the way.

2 goals for Hirvonen. He ties last year's goal total in pretty much half the games.

Goal and assist for Holmberg including this beauty goal on a power move. He passes last year's point total.

Hirvonen's last 10+ games have been red hot after a slow start on a new team.

Holmberg is starting to become something legit. 38pts in his last 41GP from the start of his breakout playoff performance. Usually .5PPG is the cutoff for U23 SHL players having an NHL future, and he's close to PPG this season after an MVP championship run. If he can be a C at the next level, that's huge for the Leafs.
