Yeah but for all we know he told the coach he wasn't right, had the flu whatever. I doubt there is some kind of strange hidden agenda that would make a club bother to put him in the lineup and then not play him. It seems weird agreed but it was only one game. I'm just happy he isn't hurt again.
The KHL is able to dress extra players I believe for games though. I think they dress 7 defensemen and either 13 or 14 forwards every game.

Has anyone been able to catch footage of him? Is he a LW or RW or capable of both? a left shot RW with a good shot/playmaking ability would be nice like Kane/Kucherov if his talent comes through.

Nothing wrong with LW either as we have obvious needs.

When do you guys think Trevor Timmins will join your scouting staff?
He is a well respected scout. I would be happy to add him. I don't believe he will take an AGM roll in Toronto, but scouting and player development, for sure. A fresh start will do him good.

No connection. Just as a habs fan, I hope you guys hire him :). Just messing around.

I remember for years and years Habs fans were so confident in saying he was one of the best scouts in the world. Classic HF.

Also regarding the KHL/Prospects discussion - I’ve been around these parts for a decade and it’s always been the same issue for the most part. It’s clear these highly touted Russian prospects develop DESPITE their environment and opportunity (or lack thereof) in Russia. The development of young players is a huge emphasis in North America and countries like Germany, Sweden, and Finland. It’s just one of those things that’s widely known and accepted. The best of the best come over to North America ASAP for the most part with few exceptions.

Trevor Timmins is a classic example of someone who isn't particularly good at their job at all but the persona they create gets them through.

He had one good draft with McDonough, pacioretty, Subban. Unfortunately that was 14 years ago. Some of us have wanted him gone for at least the last 5 years, probably more….

Great vision and patience by Holmberg here, who sends a perfect pass to tie the game up late.

Kurtis Gabriel—-> Chicago

chad Krys——> Toronto

anyone have any info on krys?

There is a thread specifically about this, with info on Krys. A once well regarded LD offensive D, who hasn't translated to Pro yet, and has had a series of shoulder injuries, and surgery. Probably a nothing trade in the end, that just gives Gabriel a chance to play in the NHL.

I’m happy for Gabriel to get that chance :)
