Everyone knows Eller doesn't seem comfortable on the wing. I do not understand why, for the life of me, the coaching staff appears to "re-discover" this every single time and seem to fault Eller for this. History repeats itself.

Put DD on the wing and Eller at center. Sure, DD puts in the effort, but so many times this season he just gets shoved off the puck. Seems like Therrien thinks that putting Eller in a chance to succeed means putting him in a position he isn't comfortable in.

Sorry for the negativity; I'm very happy about the win all the same, but I don't think Eller is being given a fair chance when DD hasn't shown himself to be any more effective.

Never saw him wear the cage last year and was wondering about it. So he will continue to wear it for the rest of the season?

He got injured while playing in the KHL earlier this year. Just a temporary thing.

-The Gallys were great tonight! Would love to see Prust be replaced with more skill but either way great job by that whole line.

No way.

Prust is perfect with the "Gallys".

Prust is not a schlub who does not know what to do with the puck when he has it. His goal was a thing of beauty.

Not too many grinders/fighters would have made that play.

The Habs pulled out their new-old secret weapon. Ironically, if Markov had been healthy all last season they wouldn't have Galchenyuk. Subban faces a lot of catching up if he signs. Maybe the Habs' success (3-1-0) will give him a little nudge. His absence means that the leak-prone Weber will dress for some games.

What I didn't like about the game was the Habs' defensive play in front of their goal. Price had too much to do. They shouldn't have had to win in OT but the final score is all that matters. I'll bet some fans were biting their fingernails. Brodeur's mastery in Montréal? Ancient history by now. Price's GAA went up but Brodeur's did even more.

Where did this new Rene Bourque come from? His play is 10 times better than last season

He's definitely putting in a ton more effort and is winning more puck battles than he was all of last season, but if he keeps missing the net at this rate, I'm going to be even less of a fan of his than I was last season.

At the very least he was back checking like a demon tonight. Also finishing his checks. Like you said, he's likely doing exactly what MT asked him to do.

The NJ announcer was seriously asking for an interference call on a push that slid the defender 3 feet? Are you kidding me?

That would be the definition of interference and in a crease mouth battle in OT that can be all the difference in whether they clear puck or don't.

Eller is just not that good. Center or wing.

He seems to panic when he has the puck.

Jacques Martin syndrome. "As soon as you get the puck, pass it somewhere, regardless if its to nowhere."

Eller needs to learn patience with the puck. You cant blame Therrien for that. He has to be the one to make that change to fight for a center position.

This news really puts a smile on my face because I didn't want Cammy anymore. We have enough smurfs, so getting a large body was and still is what the doctor ordered.

Sure, let him work this in the stands MT...

I don't have a problem if they DO stick together, clearly its working out for us and I love prust, I would just like to see the gallys with another offensive winger to see what happens. Like someone mentioned in this thread, MT was giving them tougher minutes, etc. It's all baby steps to develop them. I believe one of those baby steps will be to [eventually] have them with a offensive winger and play better minutes, especially if they continue and especially if the DD line struggles. Maybe put them with cole, who seems to be slowly heating up.

Exactly what I see from him, it's like a hot potato for him. He must have skill, being a first rounder but I see a whole lot of nevousness in him henever he gets the puck.
