Confirmed with Link: Marian Gaborik to Columbus for Brassard, J. Moore and Dorsett

I really liked the trade and thought he needed to be shipped out. That said, I still think he comes back and has a very good season. It will be interesting.

I said it at the time of the trade, love it. Provides so much depth and youth throughout the line-up and Dorsett, who I saw as the biggest difference-maker, has not even played yet.

It's hysterical... every time this thread pops up I think "Christ! We traded him AGAIN?!!!"

lol

Maybe a new title is needed?

I dont think a new thread title is needed.. :P im sure few of us are dumb enough to even think for one second that he was traded again ;)

Keep it. I think the same way and puts a :) to my face every time i think it. LOVED the trade then and love love love it more now.

Goin in the deadline i wanted a 3c, D depth and a bottom 6 forward.

With brass we got a 2c/3c he is showing signs of breaking out which alot of people thought would happen.

Moore keeps impressing me. I love how he skates and his instincts. though i think 2nd pairing is where he will top off.

And Dors will fit right in when he comes back. hell make an impact right away and youll know it.

I think Brassard is going to have a year like Stepan is this year. With him, Richards and Step, we're one of the deepest teams down the middle in the playoffs this year, and going forward too. Brass has become one of my favorite players on this team. Also, Moore is a special talent too. Reminds me a TON of McD when he first came up. I think both of them are gonna be very good players for a long time. And in terms of Dorsett, I can't wait to see what he brings, hopefully in the playoffs this season.

SIAP - but Gaborik is on his way to see a specialist in Philadelphia for an issue with his abs. He's hoping he doesn't need surgery so he can play in the World Championships.

If his nagging injury issues continue, this trade may look even better.

JD said Gaborik has some discomfort and they are getting it checked out. Gaborik will play in the WC if everything checks out.

Hardly surprising. Let's just hope it wasn't a preexisting thing that we knew about but didn't disclose. Nothing to indicate that, it's just always a worry when a guy gets injured after being traded.

I'm still disappointed that we traded him within the division, but I've been pleased with the performances of Brassard and Moore. Center depth is always a nice thing to have.

NYR should still be looking for a goal scorer. I'd opt to pass on Clowe and look for someone with more offense.

I think that with the maturation of Hagelin and some other young players, plus full seasons from Dorsett and Brassard, they will be fine.

Let go of Pyatt, Powe and Boyle and let some young players battle for spots.

Stalberg and Bickell would look good in the bottom-6 as big bodies with speed.

i hope he gets traded or waived.. let him go to another team and stink..... resign Eminger. let go of Girlroy Pyatt Powe and trade Boyle.... maybe Yogan or Thomas gets another look next year up front..

On defense, if everyone is brought back and no trades are made, I think they are set going into next season with what they have. Maybe re-sign Eminger or bring in someone like Murray.

Why would u be worried. Trade can't be undone now. Gabby passed the standard physical teams have acquired players take. Players played games for their respective new teams.

Trade is complete. No need to worry.

If CBus difnt have Gabby looked at, a player with known history of injuries then that failure is 100pct on them.

that Bickell i wouldnt mind.. although he is a bigger version of Dubinsky... a little inconsistant.. still a solid 3rd liner.... back to Stu Bickel, i hope he never puts on a NYR jersey ever again.. i dont even want him on the Wolfpack...i still dont get how he made the NHL although Rangers won that trade.. it really showed the lack of depth and lack of quality young dman :help:
