The Oilers and goalies losing a game despite the forwards dominating the opposition: name a more iconic duo.

They had 2x the amount of shots and are winning the xGF battle thus far. We have had more offensive possession time but they've been far more effective with theirs.

I said this a few weeks ago but Boston has just mastered the art of knowing what kind of game to play against their opponent. If you’re coming out with a lot of energy, executing well early. They’ll just play a very structured, stifling game and let you wear yourself and get frustrated. If you’re not in it early they’ll go hard try and get an early one then get physical with you. Skate hard, finish checks and just make you want to go home. They’re well coached, have full buy in and they can beat you a hundred different ways. Very impressive team.

Skinner needs to have both of those, but tbh the team kinda fell apart in the last 5 minutes of that period there. Boston got a bunch of good looks in a row, which the goalie stopped btw.

Too many chicken littles in here though. We're the best offense in the sport, this game isn't over yet.

I don't care how crappy the goals are. If the crappiness of the goals makes the team fold then thats just mental weakness by the skaters. We have two full periods to come back. Lots of time. If the team is strong mentally they will try to erase Skinner's screw ups by scoring a few

They should've fired Schwartz years ago. He teaches the goalies to play small. Seen that with the Oil Kings for years and you can see it w/ Hay this year.
