Yeah, I don't think any of us are expecting the team to challenge for the cup. Making the playoffs is a step in the right direction, but, once in, a fan's going to hope for the best!

The Panthers are cup contenders imo. They have very big and skilled centers, which matters in the playoffs a lot. Their top 4 of D are very good with diverse skills and abilities as well. There's good goaltending as well, and I wouldn't call their wingers slouches either.

A eastern conference final of Washinton vs Florida would be pretty intense.

edit: plus they have Jagr, and the team will want to win another cup for him

thats why most fans want them to lose and get a top 3 pick.. this lineup is worst than preseason game.. they have like 5 regulars in their lineup.. rest are rookies and ahl players.. lol

There's a few young players in the Canucks system I wouldn't mind having. Hutton could be something, same with Virtanen, Horvat, Tryamkin, Pedan, and McCann. Now ideally there are only a couple at a time in the lineup, but the future is not so bleak - it's just going to take a year or two for them to get their NHL legs under them.
