Brady Tkachuk is really upset about losing Norris as a teammate

Scott Laughton to Toronto
Branden Tanev going back to Jets for a 2nd

time for Conroy to go to the Spa and take the rest of the day off. There is NO way he should pay these prices to acquire anything right now.
in fact, I would be rethinking the Flames stance on both Kadri and Andersson right now

Jets and Lightning reacquiring Tanev and Gourde both from the Kraken is kinda funny. You think these energy 3rd line guys are a dime a dozen but it's a harder position to fill with quality than GMs admit.
It's also about how well they fit with the team. Easier to know with the guys they had before.

Doing nothing is better than buying but both are worse than selling

Flames luck too that they were sellers last year when the market was weak but have no UFA's to move this year when the prices are insane. Similar story with cap space.

With the west loading up, the playoffs if they happen at all for the Flames, are going to essentially be a "waste of 8 days" as Sutter once said

Is there any team that is loading up in a manner that really concerns us? IMO I'm not noticing a major concern for playoff race stuff, but sure, first round and after there's some serious firepower loading up.

Long term pieces at good cost, sure. Consider. But I'm OK with Frost/Farabee being this years move.

Nah. Blues might be moving Schenn, Utah is just re-signing their guys, Vancouver made some moves but got worse IMO

Yep. We didn't miss out. It's not like he hasn't done anything. He did the Frost/Farabee trade already. I trust Connie will keep tabs on some surprising deals to be had, but he ain't going to be stupid and pay sticker price for stuff we don't need.

The Frost and Farabee trade is highway robbery compared to what’s going on today.

If anything, Vancouver, St Louis and Utah are all sellers; LA hasn’t moved the needle at all.

Calgary somehow sitting on their hands might end up favorite to snag th WC2 or Pacific 3.

Yeah, I was referring to the 1st round. Right now the Flames are slotted to play the Jets and that's very likely going to be a 'why even bother' week.
