GDT: Maple Leafs vs Panthers

There is no one to silence. The Leafs beat Tampa 6-2 the game before and controlled the entire game and it still doesn't mean anything till the playoffs start. Kallgren was in net, Matthews, Muzzin out and Holl playing full time.

There is no way Holl plays in the playoffs barring injury (unless something is wrong with Keefe).

Breaking their win streak will be nice though. Hope Matthews plays and gets 60.

Edit: As the same second, burnie97 sends the message all through our boards and information of the mentioned thang. Matthews, will be back for us and dominating rear ends.
 
Leafs will likely win tonight for a few reasons:
1. Return of God-tthews
2. Rebounding from a very embarrassing loss (still a bit pissed about how badly they lost and that they might have woken up Tampa)
3. Florida just clinched the division, doubt they’ll have the same level of motivation as Toronto
4. They lost here last time after being up 5-1

Muzzin might play tomorrow. Sandin joining the team this week.

This team getting is getting healthy. All they need is Campbell at 100%

A team shouldn't lose 8-1 to a probable first round matchup. Granted, tons of PP nonsense and running up the score, but a statement game is required to get back on the right footing.

Win or lose, just make sure that the effort is top notch, then I’ll be happy. Maybe seeing Matthews reach 60 goals tonight would also feel pretty damn good.

Redemption for giving up a five to one lead and losing in overtime, I take back what I said, obliterate them.

I tend to agree. I do feel this may have come at the perfect time for Toronto. If there’s any question what they have to ratchet up to face - the opponent, the hitting and the refs - it should be clear now that it will take 100% just to have a chance to win.

It will be rough out there.

Yep. Consider TB, FLA and Boston the preliminary round entering the playoffs. See what your record is under those conditions.
 
Good to see Auston in and if Keefe is to believed, he's not playing through anything. I wouldn't be surprised if they rest him tomorrow.

Sandin pushing Muzz and Holl ready for depth.

Making a complete L4 would be huge too... I like Simmer/Spezza, but we need the speed of Engvall/Blackwell
