Hey they finally forced Freddy to move across his crease and he came through with the classic Freddy flop.

Freds been challenging so far out there's so much room behind him they gotta make him pay for it more.

But overall we have not played well enough in this one. And the Canes are gonna get some game management in the 3rd.

It’s going to be a tough third period for us, and Carolina is a very strong team. It would be amazing if they can make a statement here, hold them off the scoresheet and put a couple more on the scoreboard.

Pretty much a given we'll have to kill one penalty off at least. Also, Carolina probably have a mulligan or two before they get called for another penalty. The lads are working hard in a game that's really tough to get much going in.

He's just the guy who never makes the save when you need him to. Low leverage situations, low danger shots, ezpz. High danger, high-leverage, watch him crumple.

Good goalies make elite saves at times regardless of the chance. Fred just didn't have that ability with us, and especially cost us the last ~3 years he was with the team when we were legitimately good besides him.

If this is your take, you also have to blame Campbell for the last 3 games vs Montreal where we had our best chance to win a series in the last decade.

I think they’ve been a better team 5v5 for much of the game. Our passing hasn’t been great and they really play strong defensively, not giving us much room. We need to be a little better in the third to close this out.
