Matthews with an exceptional defensive play to finish the period.. Really making strides... to go at the player behind the net with his stick down to defend against the reverse pass... warms my heart and makes me think he's going to take us somewhere.

He was a good starter who couldn’t get it done. That’s how I look at it at least

we’ve now tried a split tandem. We will see how it works

Vintage Andersen. Love the guy but he really makes things difficult on himself sometimes. Looking forward to the game management in period 3. We've been lucky through the first 40 with the officials, even if they were making the obvious calls. They've missed a few calls on the Leafs.
