Uhm no lol
I think the answer isn't a straight yes or no.

Woll seems to have the ability and demeaner to be a good #1 in the playoffs.

He does not yet have the experience or the durability to do it. Durability has been an issue for him. It may fix itself over time or it may always be an issue. Experience helps and there is only one way to get it.

Clueless post

The issue was and has been for the last several years, the stars not showing up.

Game 1: 5 goals against
Game 2: 2 goal against
Game 3: 4 goals against
Game 4: 3 goals against
Game 5: 1 goal against
Game 6: 1 goal against
Game 7: 2 goals against

Held Boston to 2 goals or fewer in 4 games and LOST the series

If you want to talk about star power on the blue line ? Sure, but the team defence was great all year. Clueless post dude.
All I can hear is Steve Dangle shrieking louder and louder they caNT SCORE GOA0LZ!!!

Do you know who Woll is? Be honest. Do yourself a favor and check his eliteprospect page. .933sv% in the playoffs, .915 as a rookie goalie in reg season
Honest question, why would a sens fan not know who Woll is. As for Woll himself, can you rely on him to stay healthy through an entire round of the playoffs? Let alone a full season.
He very well could end up great, but he wont if he cant stay healthy.

"Let's hire a coach that was fired from an underperforming team that immediately became better and made the playoffs after he was fired as an associate coach! what could go wrong!"

So we just ignore his success as an assistant before?

I never said there were no question marks, but the person I responded to claimed the Leafs have no goaltending which is just blatantly false. They have a lot of potential and are actually really deep at the position, they just need a stop gap.

How is goaltending an issue. Woll is the future in Toronto he has proved that the last 2 playoff
Joe Woll had fewer that 50 NHL starts to his name and only started 23 of them in his rookie season. He may very well be the future in Toronto, but they're going to need a fairly significant fallback option.

IMO Toronto has done work to do on both defense and in goal this summer. They lack significant established bodies at both positions. They essentially lost Muzzin, Brodie and Giordano as reliable options over the past couple of seasons. They had a lot of guys playing higher than you'd like them to be this year.

Looking forward to seeing how quickly the fans and media turn on him and make him the scapegoat like every coach they’ve ever had

Berube isn't going to blow a 3-1 series lead, Berube isn't going to talk about respect in the handshake line,, Berube isn't going to be critical of his players and then walk it back the next day like a gutless coward.

Berube is going to be fine.

Babcock didn’t do anything of those things either and you guys blamed everything bad happening on him, and subsequently claimed Keefe was the answer.

It’s not a coaching problem, it’s a player problem

“Proved it the last two playoffs”? It’s a whopping 7 games lol.

His regular season stat last year weren’t great in a much larger sample, and he can’t stay healthy

What are you talking about? Yes he's shown flashes of being a legitimate #1 but he's spent more time injured then playing, until that changes he hasn't proven shit.

Stop using 2 playoff games this season as "proof" It's 2 games

The only time his stats were bad were the first 10-15 games after missing 3 months with a high ankle sprain. Stats were elite the rest of the time
So literally have of his games played? Lol

Any player is going to look good if you ignore half of his worst games.

Hilarious.
