If you have to add conditions to being a fan, you are not a Leafs fan.If you're not a Leafs fan you won't get the reference and are taking it too literally.

Yep. They went from tough guy to teddy bear and back to tough guy againShould have gone with Gallant or even Guy Boucher IMO. They need an immediate 180° in chemistry and execution for quick results in the next season or two more than they need a stable 'head coach' 5 years from now.
Babcock 2.0
Ah yes. The Babcock core is pampered Leafs. You are as clueless as TML managementBerube v Pampered Leafs is going to be one hell of a culture war. I'm betting that Pampered Leafs win, but it is 4 v 1, and Berube is almost 60.
Great keeper? Where? And who is their lock down D man?I dislike the Leafs as much as any of you do but Craig Berube is gonna coach the Leafs to the cup. Its the last piece Leafs needed. Leafs have grit, stars, great keeper and now they added a fantastic coach. Sucks to admit it but its the hard truth.
He already won a Cup.Could he be Tocchett 2.0? Will be interesting to see.

Ya the PP sucked in the playoffs, but during season good for seventh, and last year good for second, but agree PP in playoffs was bad.Boucher???
You mean the guy who was responsible for their stellar power play this season? Yeah, brilliant idea.
Time will tell but I think a coaching change wont fix the core issues with the team. Trev and co have a lot of roster work ahead of them this summer....Could he be Tocchett 2.0? Will be interesting to see.

Sure, and enjoyment and elation too!Don't really see the need for gatekeeping here.
Everyone is welcome to their fair share of pain and suffering.

It happens throughout the season for some teams it is hope and heartbreak others it is dismal for one team jubilation.Maybe one day! You never know.

OK.Admittedly the last oh, 8 or so years have dulled my enjoyment of the regular season.
We'll see if Berube and a roster overhaul can change that.
Here are the coaches who have won with multiple teams. Suprised its only three guys, but more prove that the Stanley Cup is really hard to win, especially multiple times.
- Dick Irvin ('32 Leafs, '44, '46, '53 Canadiens)
- Tommy Gorman ('34 Hawks, '35 Maroons)
- Scotty Bowman ('73 Canadiens, '76-'79 Canadiens, '92 Penguins, '97-'98 Wings, '02 Wings)
