five for Hyman ?? :eek: The number does not right. If that is the truth, MM goes to CBJ and Andersen is not coming back.
 
Bogo, Spezza, Hyman. I like Dermott too, but I don't think there's a spot for him on the team any more. He'll have a long and successful career somewhere, but we just don't have the room to let him develop with the top4 minutes he needs. I'm fine with Galchenyuk back, but I think he's going to want more than the 1m we can offer. Maybe we get lucky and he decides he wants to bet on himself signing a bigger deal next offseason, and gives us that one year cheap deal, but we'll see. Very much hoping Bogosian doesn't want too much money as well. To the rest, thanks for coming out.
 
Spezza and Bogo would be high priority.

Rittch would be fine to stay as a #3 goalie if he takes minimum. I'd be fine getting Gally under a.cheap contract but wouldn't guarantee a starting spot in the lineup.

Hyman can stay if he plays ball on aav. But that likely isn't happening

So for the same amount of goals is Hyman worth 1/2 Marner's AAV ?

And goals are the only thing you judge a players worth by?
 
As much as I like Hyman, this is his retirement contract (and yes I know his family is rich), he will be looking for max contract terms. There will be a GM out there that will back up the money truck. Maybe that GM is Dubas , maybe he has learned his lesson and will offer market value.

If this team wants to continue to grow he can't lock him self into more long term high cap hit contacts.
 
Hyman should come in below Toffoli's cap hit, 4.25M. Contract hopefully is a little below that but massively front loaded, 5 years max. I don't see how people are saying 5-6M that's just crazy talk.

Interesting results. Andersen, Hutton, Simmonds, Thornton, and Nash with way less votes than I thought they would get.

Bogosian and Spezza aren't surprising.

Galechnyuk has a pretty even split. I voted for him to return. At the right price though. Although he faded toward the end of the season, it's still not easy to find players who can fit in the top-6 at such a low price. He can always drop to the third line with 2 better defensive players around him.

Oh, how our standards are so low. Great player, yes. Clutch, not really and he has a lot of wear and tear. Ross Perot - Can I finish, Can I finish? Zach - No.

Mathematically you couldn't sign all those players anway.Purely speculation at this point as far as who stays & who goes.

Marincin & Agostino sign in the KHL & Foligno possibly returning to CBJ.
 
Spezza for sure considering the price point and the value he provides.

Hyman if he comes in at a below market price ($3.5M).

Dermott is young enough to give him more time.

Where did you hear about the proposed Oilers offer? I would not be happy with that deal as it is at least 2 years too long and at least a $500K AAV overpay. I'd love to add the player but not on that kind of a deal.
