Ok, so it didn't end according to plan, however...

The Leafs were great this season, and provided a ton of excitement and entertainment.

Matthews won the Rocket.
Marner at a 100 point pace.
Defence improved dramatically.
Several new faces (Bogosian, Brodie, Simmonds, Galchenyuk) made significant contributions.
Great performances by Spezza turning back the clock, Nylander improved and second-half Tavares was great.
Campbell getting a chance to play and breaking an NHL record for consecutive wins to start the season.

Lots to like here.

Just saying Leafs, during the pandemic doldrums, you guys were always good for a pump up.

I appreciate you.

Go away Paul.

In close out games, Marner and Matthews have 1 goal combined. Close out games:

Game 7 in 2018
Game 6 and 7 in 2019
Game 5 in 2020
Game 5 and 6 and 7 in 2021

Marner has a total of 0 goals, 2 assists, and -5.
Matthews has a total of 1 goal, 2 assists, and -4.

Why the f*** are we paying them 22m?

f*** this thread and the person who think they should be appreciated. We lost to the f***ing habs in an absolute choke. f*** you mitch, f*** you 34 , dubas, keefe, shanahan and paul.

What kind of a stupidass thread is this?

I appreciate another first round exit with minimal effort from our highest paid players. It was great to see them take the entire series off and rest after winning the rocket and scoring at a 100pt pace.

They played in the weak Canadian division, so during the regular season they were sheltered to say the least. Are you really celebrating those stats?

They lost in the first round against a crap Canadian team.

Leafs appreciation thread, are you F'n kidding?

Man, the bar is so low for some fans.

Now how do you really feel?

Looking forward to the 21-22 season, but there is a lot of hockey to the arch first!

This is a thread that shows appreciation for the team. You should have got the idea from the title.

This is a troll thread that should not be posted. No one is appreciative of anyone/anything related to TML. It's been a few days since our epic choke, people are pissed. This is a dumb thread. People can be appreciative once the playoffs are done, and find joy when AM34 gets his rocket but right now this thread doesn't make sense

There are stages to grief? Leaf fans just are grieving perpetually. From the day they become fans, till the day they die, this team is going to be letting the fans down

I am. I am looking forward to the 21-22 season. Though I can see your point; it can become a lightning rod.

Wait, we've become the laughing stock of the hockey world and you still want to show your appreciation?

The worse part is this is the Leafs season filmed as a documentary by Amazon Prime. They are now contemplating about changing its title to "ALL FOR NOTHING".

I wish this was like Reddit, would have given you an award or whatever it's called for being optimistic for 21-22 after this year. It's the season I'm most dreading seeing since 2014-2015 which I knew was going to be bad with the team trying to compete again.

I really hope whatever your expectations in terms of changes occurs and this team rises from the humiliation and defeat they've suffered and goes on to win next year.
