King Macarthur I think deserves it, he seems like he really gets the guys riled up, and like one of the posters above said we don't know what goes on in the leafs dressing room.

37 PIMs in each of the last two seasons. Seems to me like he gets a penalty every other game.
I like the choices for alternates, myself. You get two guys who are vocal in the dressing room. The people complaining about Grabo not being an assistant captain can look at the fact that Grabo is a leader by example, not by vocation, and, correct me if I'm wrong but, I don't think Grabo is 100% fluent in English as of yet.

Maybe Kessel just on the fact he dominates so highly on the ice he also sort of leads on the ice? Maybe Liles? I don't no. I guess there really isn't a solid appealing option.

MacArthur's productivity last season, wasn't far off the previous dominant one actually.
2011/2012 - Toronto NHL 73 20 23 43 3 3 6
2010/2011 - Toronto NHL 82 21 41 62 -3 6 13
He was on pace for a career year in goals, and his dramatic drop in assists was more likely due to Kulemin's dramatic 27 goal drop from his previous year total of 30. Also, "I'm guessing" he and his line received more PP time in 2010, due to the emergence of Lupul. MacArthur's PP point totals dropped from 19 to 9.. over 82 games, hypothetically had he still recorded at the same powerplay totals, he'd have recorded the following totals.

Obviously these above totals mean nothing, because anything could've happened, BUT, I'm just trying to point out that MacArthur actually was really productive last season, Grabovski wasn't bad either, it was Kulemin who let the line down, in terms of offensive play. It's also interesting to note that despite the drop in point totals, MacArthur was in the +, while last year, he was in the -.
If Kulemin returns to form, we could have the most productive 2nd line again.

Um, except he isn't. Seriously where do you get the belief that he's always taking penalties from?
I don't understand all the crap MacArthur gets. His job is to provide secondary scoring and he does that. Kulemin scored 7 ****ing goals last season and he's given a pass. But let me guess TWO WAY GAME right.
Not to mention there isn't any other player who has a good a chemistry with our best centre.
