Ummm, most of them? That's why we can't afford to keep them when they leave and get a fat bag elsewhere.

Can you name a true top pairing defenceman the organization has ever given Morgan to play alongside?
that money goes to 34, 16, 91, 88............

Brodie... he was Gio's partner the year Gio won the Norris... that's a pretty good resume. Point remains true #1 raises the performance of their partners not make life harder on them. Rielly in every way does not think the defensive game well. Watch him tonight skate himself into a corner in his own end or give the puck away in a panic to get the puck out or play hot potato when he can figure out how to get the puck out of his own end, I can make that statement with confidence because he does that every game. Not a coincidence that Brodie had his best 5 game stretch this year when Rielly was suspended. Rielly should be a #3 on the 2nd line. In the other teams end he is a star, in his end he is a black hole.
problem is that is ancient history............

Two picks for a depth plug is the exact OPPOSITE of what they should be doing.

"Out of 255 defensemen that have played over 500 minutes at 5v5, Lyubushkin ranks: 220th in xGF%, 193rd in GA/60, 172nd in CA/60, and 224th in xGA/60".

Any good memories fans had of Lyubushkin are about to be obliterated.

It's entirely possible Lyubushkin will perform better here. It's even more probable he stinks. Lyubushkin is SO useless offensively his entire effectiveness is limited to hoping the other team doesn't score while he's on the ice.

And he's not even good at that.

The only way to positively spin this is that Treliving didn't trade the first. So the hope is they still land a better defenseman. Which would likely make Lyubushkin a healthy scratch half the time.

Another master class in asset management, Toronto Maple Leafs style.
The best way to look at it is the through reality of the situation. Leafs got depth and sandpaper at a cap hit less than League minimum and gave up very little to get him.

If it is the only move, then we wasted 2 draft choices.
Not really they still got Boosh. The cap hit leaves a lot of flexibility, but it is likely not enough to put the team over the top.

Hope he’s not concussed - took a HUGE hit from Rempe, got off the ice on his own, but on the bench after he had his head down and was holding it.

Could be nothing, hopefully it is, but … could also be not nothing. We’ll see if he comes out for the 3rd.

A deadline addition injured soon after coming to the Leafs?
I wonder when people will start blaming Treliving for trading for an injured player.
Hope it's not too serious.

What kind of cerebrally challenged knuckledragging POS at 6'7 jumps to hit a guy into the boards?

What equally cerebrally challenged neanderthal league allows this to happen with nary a penalty?

Send that fridge to the UFC and few of the refs and league executives along with him. I will even pay to watch the event.

Rempe is a sideshow.

I can’t believe Boosh is already hurt, or took such a big hit already.
