Just looked it up at the KHL site, and it looks like enj92 is right, Kaprizov hasn't played yet. Ufa's last game was on the 7th and he wasn't listed as a player in it. Their next game is tomorrow, and I'm guessing he'll play in that one.

Kaprizov's agent speaking:

"There is no specific talk about Kaprizov's departure to the NHL yet. Nothing is set in concrete about this scenario yet, because he has a contract with Salavat Yulaev until April 30th, 2018, Ufa is his nearest plans. Kirill has joined the team and is fully ready to help them to overcome the currrent slump.

I did personally talk to Minnesota's management during the WJC, Kirill didn't as he was busy playing. Wild have shown their interest, pointed out Kaprizov's great talent andd said that tey got a 5th round gift. But there was no pressure and talk like "Give up everything and come to us". We seriously respect them for that".

What a 5th round STEAL! Congrats, Minny. The Fletch guy ain't a complete tool, after all, it seems. Lol.

Kuznetsov currently holds the KHL U-20 scoring record with 41 pts in 49 games. Kaprizov currently has 34 pts in 38 games. He only needs 8 more points in 11 games to overtake him. His numbers will also eclipse both Tarasenko and Panarin.

Just speculating, but is it possible that he was missed by so many scouts due to where is he is from? I just looked up his home town - Novokuznetsk - which is in eastern Siberia, just a few hundred miles northwest of the Mongolian border. Is there a heavy scouting presence way out in that area?

corey pronman ranked him #49 in the 2015 pre draft rankings. i think he was already a khl #1 pick (not 100% sure) people did know about him so im baffled he dropped to the 5th & we had to trade for bostons 5th to get him if memory serves! ps if our scouts were really that smart why didnt we pick him sooner?

Kaprizov was called a "future Sergei Makarov" like 3 years ago. He was considered the next big young Russian player along with Guryanov. He had a lackluster draft season, though. Just 1+3 at WJC U18 was a terrible statistics for such a talent. On the other hand, he had 8 points in 31 games in the KHL (look at Rubtsov, who scored zero in 15 games, being 1 year older). He still was clearly a 1st round talent, it was stupid, that so many NHL teams ignored him. Now they feel the pain of their ignorance.

He and Sokolov must've been caught smoking in the dressing room in between periods, or something.

we picked goalie stezka at #111 before we picked kaprizov with bostons 5th rnd pick. i think somebody like me was drunk at the bar & said this is crazy we gotta pick this kid now that hes dropped to the 5th. #135! current 2015 redraft i'd rank him 15th & rising!
