Beach is dense and I find it ridiculous when he's penciled in to the hawks top 6. Sometimes right up on the first like with Toews and Kane (provided Stalberg isn't in that spot.... *eye roll*).

Odds of Beach being here this year are slim due to the Cap issue..but he's certainly got great talent...nobody knows when it will happen...I don't, you don't..

and what's up with defending Cormier here?? Did he promise never to do it again??? That incident is certainly as bad or worse than Beach's antics...

He won't bust. This entire talk is ridiculous. I think this whole "he's got a screw loose" thing is entirely unfounded. Yes, he will take things to unbelievable extremes, but you have no clue how much that hatred from the opposite team plays in his favor. He's a complete ass because it adds that much to his already impressive skill set.

When Hockey Canada won't touch you with a ten foot pole, I see a great big flashing neon finger pointing at you saying "believe what you hear".

They put Steve Downie on that junior team POST hazing allegations. Beach is a better junior player than Downie was.

Beach never played for team Canada because he claimed that they had a bias towards taking OHL players over WHL players. During a tournament he was seen wearing a doctored team Canada jersey which said team Ontario. Since then he was never invited to any team Canada camps.

Short sighted? Have you played any sort of competitive sport before?

Trash talking about a hunchback and a lisp? Honestly, that's child's play compared to what can be said in a beer league, let alone the NHL.

Lastly, yes, a 15 year old kid took his beating against a 6'3+ man. I'm sorry, but that youtube clip hardly impresses me.

So you're a Lucic fan? You better know he is just 1,5 years older than Beach. Stop that crap with a 15 year old and a grown up man turning 19.

Lucic had 21 fights that year, and fought a kid who just turned 16 in the playoffs that had never fought in the WHL before. Beach wouldn't even be allowed to play in the other two CHL leagues. I'm not impressed.

Anyone who has watched Kane/Toews feel Beach would fit in well because when Byfuglien , Bickell or Brouwer have been in that 1st line LW slot there size and physical play seems to help Kane/Toews get more open space. Kane and Toews made Byfuglien look like a star and Brouwer a 20+ goal scorer this past year. The potential of Beach-Toews-Kane is too great to not ponder

And most Hawk fans are either putting Stalberg on 3rd or 2nd line. I think he would be ideal LW for Hossa/Sharp on our 2nd line. His speed + Size would be an upgrade over Troy Brouwer (Who lacks speed and defensive talent) who was on that line for most of finals and Sharp/Hossa would be good mentors for helping him develop his defensive game which needs work

If I can clarify my question, it's just that I was asking myself if he could make some enemies within his own team, and by that way becoming more susceptible to see his potential drop...
Beach needs to get his head screwed on right... and in a hurry or he is not going to play long in Chicago.

He has potentially a very very bright future ahead of him, but he needs to know his role and be a great teammate. If he starts getting on the wrong side of: Kane, Toews, Campbell, Keith, Seabrook, Sharp, etc, who do you think Chicago management is going to ship out of town?

People bring up Lucic from time to time when talking about Beach. HUGE difference. Lucic is a very humble guy, thankful for everything he has and the chances he has been given in this life. He's a good teammate, and was a Captain in Jrs.
Brush ups happen from time to time with teammates, nothing wrong with that. But Beach has had too many at too young of an age for my liking. He screams "meat-head" that doesn't get it.

So it was a 17 year old Lucic vs. a 16 year old Beach, both being the same height and pretty much the same weight. Not a 19 year old grown up man vs. a 15 year old. Write the facts straight.

Lucic has not called for the fight, but Beach did and got his ass kicked. These are the facts.
No need to be impressed though, because Lucic will break his face again and again for years to come.

Looks like I struck a nerve, sorry about that champ.

You obviously lack simple knowledge of junior hockey, if you think a fight between a known heavyweight fighter about to turn 18, is close to being even, against a kid who just turned 16 and isn't even allowed to play a full season.

I have nothing against Lucic, but the pure hatred towards Beach is just ignorant, IMO.

How exactly did you struck my nerve? By writing ignorant posts? Or is it because you think I cant forget Orr beating Milan? Yeah, I can play this card too! But but, Orr is a well known heavyweight, and Lucic just turned 21! But fact remains, Lucic lost, he is not the fighter Orr is, maybe for now, maybe he will never be that good.

Lucic is 1,5 years older. He was 17, Beach was 16, period. Stop doing this crap with about turning 18, just turned 16, its laughable. Beach had already Lucics size, you can see it in the video. He insulted him and asked for a fight. He got it. It doesnt matter that Lucic had already a reputation as a fighter -Beach knew it. Fact is - nothing has changed. Lucic is still a better fighter, Beach still cant get his mouth shut. You can write whatever you want, fact is that I know and you also should know that Beach will lose next time they fight.

I can't believe that anybody is defending that Beach training camp incident. Repeatedly cross-checking a little Euro guy in the face, and proceeding to pound him while while his gloves are on and his stick in his hand. Disgusting. I can't wait till he fights Rypien.

I really liked this kid coming into the 2008 draft, I was really hoping he'd fall to the B's, but honestly I like the edge he plays with. But the fight with Olimb that was just wrong.

Talking about Lucic picking on a younger player, Beach just picked a fight with a player 30 pounds lighter, 4 inch shorter, and not a known fighter...

I really hope this isn't a sign to things to come with Beach.....

People are always saying fights happen in training camp...it wasn't a fight. Watch the video.

It was Kyle Beach turning heel in front of the millions of fans watching. We need more characters in the NHL Rich, and you need to get on board with this or else.

A 15 years old vs a 17 years old

He called Lucic a "hunchback". If you didn't know, Lucic has Scheuermann's disease. I don't care how old you are, but if you insult someone about their medical condition, you deserve to have you ass kicked (obviously within reasonable limits )

People are criticizing Beach for dropping the gloves with Lucic? Every single time that Colin Fraser dropped the gloves for the Hawks this year he lost. Most the time getting beat pretty badly. Did Hawks fans still appreciate what he did? Of course. I always love seeing him drop the gloves and take one for the team.

Obviously Beach isn't going to win every fight. It's the fact that a skilled player will drop the gloves, which is a good thing for a team. This will be especially valuable if he is on a line with Kane and Toews. We know how guys like Cooke like to throw cheap shots and don't ever want to throw the gloves down. After E. Kane KO's Cooke, I bet we rarely see him drop them and I bet we see less cheap shots. Players will love to throw the cheap shots but if they know they will have to get in a fight because of it, sometimes they will think twice.

Im kind of surprised that posters are allowed to personally attack NHL Players.

Statements like "Beach is a joke a human being" do not really add to the conversation do they?

I would have thought that was a no no.
