How exactly did you struck my nerve? By writing ignorant posts? Or is it because you think I cant forget Orr beating Milan? Yeah, I can play this card too! But but, Orr is a well known heavyweight, and Lucic just turned 21! But fact remains, Lucic lost, he is not the fighter Orr is, maybe for now, maybe he will never be that good.

Lucic is 1,5 years older. He was 17, Beach was 16, period. Stop doing this crap with about turning 18, just turned 16, its laughable. Beach had already Lucics size, you can see it in the video. He insulted him and asked for a fight. He got it. It doesnt matter that Lucic had already a reputation as a fighter -Beach knew it. Fact is - nothing has changed. Lucic is still a better fighter, Beach still cant get his mouth shut. You can write whatever you want, fact is that I know and you also should know that Beach will lose next time they fight.

Do you even know what ignorant means? Obviously not, because this whole thread is full of ignorant hate towards Beach.

It's laughable, yet it's true. Think of it this way, the fight would have not even been able to occur in the OHL because Beach would not have even been drafted yet into the OHL, but Lucic would be in his draft year for the NHL.

Fighting a kid who's not even legally allowed to play a full season in your league because of his age, c'mon now.

Yes, and your posts lead me to believe you haven't.

Or are you the Beach of your beer league, minus the talent?

Personal attacks, good call buddy. Run along and keep calling people you've never even met, let alone know personally, a POS.

I can't believe that anybody is defending that Beach training camp incident. Repeatedly cross-checking a little Euro guy in the face, and proceeding to pound him while while his gloves are on and his stick in his hand. Disgusting. I can't wait till he fights Rypien.

That would never happen

and if it did, John Scott would fight Rypien and beat him to a pulp most likely

I guess John Scott's gonna be a busy guy, because defending Beach might be a full time job. Beach likes to fight and he's not that good at it. I guarantee Luca Sbisa won't be winning any fights against Lucic (or any other Legit NHL fighter) in the near future.

Also, what makes you think Beach isn't dumb enough to pick a fight with John Scott himself?? There IS still the real training camp yet to come.

While not stated publically, my guess is the Hawks love how Beach is developing. Gifted offensive player who plays with an edge don't grow on trees. He'll have an adjustment period in the NHL (i.e. some other tough guy will readjust his face), but it's all part of the maturation process.

Right. I love it.

I really like him already. Great Prospect to have.

As long as he is a Hawk, the Hawks Fans will love him. Every other will hate him

I have a feeling that these "issues" with Beach get overblown in the HF echo chamber when clueless people feel like they need to weigh in. With that said, yes, Beach needs to get some maturity, become less stupid and learn to let things slide and pick his fights and the AHL next year will hopefully teach him that. As for the OP's question, no, Beach is NOT THAT bad.

1. we can't keep TKK
2. we have to trade Players to announce the signing of TKK
3. we can't win with Niemi or Huet
4. we won't get anything of value back in the trades

hmmm... what's next? what about the top Prospect - start the talk about him

nothing of this turned out to be right.
this is just Hawks Bashing.

Were do you get the idea Beach is not a good fighter?

He fought some tough guys in the WHL this past season like Taylor Jordan,Braydon McNab,Sena Acoletse,Scott Ramsay and Brett Ponich and has done well and has actually won some of those.

I don't think people understand what tough is. There is tough I dropped my gloves once in junior when I had too an then there is TOUGH I had to drop my gloves alot and fight some scary guys. The kid can take a punch and throw them

Wasn't Dave Bolland a bit of a headcase when he was in the OHL? Same with Ladd? I don't remember them ever having the reputation that Beach has now... but at the same time I feel that people are over-exaggerating it quite a bit. At this point, Beach has a lot of maturing to do... but he's still a kid, 20 years old. I wouldn't expect him to turn it down too much after already been drafted and being one of the older players in his league, he's a cocky kid and wants to be the big bad vet.

I think the real test and criticism should come if he continues to behave like this in the AHL and then the NHL. During the late part of last season, Beach stopped taking penalties and ended up lighting the lamp a bunch before regressing again. IMO, he has the ability to restrain himself and pick his moments. There will be a lot more expected of him in the AHL and he'll have to control his tempter/ego for the right moments and I think that with the right staff, Beach can do that. So for now, I'll reserve judgement on his character until he shows he can/can't restrain himself at a more important level... one that would actually affect his career.

Perry from Anh..getzlaf dropped too...due to his character issues

Beach is off to a pretty solid start with 6 points in 10 games. Depending on how high the cap rises this offseason, Beach will either be a strong candidate to make the team or a possible mid-season replacement

The Ice Hogs are pretty terrible. Worst record in their conference in the AHL. 9 points doesn't seem like much, but only 3 players have more.

Someone on here argued with me that he was better than Eberle. Pretty sure it was saskyoil.

A better question would be why does Peters keep benching him?

I've heard laziness/defensive play, but I don't know for sure.

He's only been benched once, and it was a more of a wake-up-call than anything

wouldn't be too concerned:

Chris Stewart - 77 Games 25 Goals 19 Assists 44 Points
Dustin Penner - 77 Games 10 Goals 18 Assists 28 Points
Tangradi - 65 Games 17 Goals 22 Assists 39 Points

It is probably because he has no support.

IDK but he keeps benching lalonde too, who has not had any character issues at all, but could be due to the plethora of d-man. It was just terrible having garnett exelby get ice time over him though.

Nothing to worry about, adjusting to the Pro game will take time especially for a big kid who had the size to completely manhandle most junior dmen.

Over half the team is either 1st or 2nd yr pro (3 of them still jr eligible),and the few vets there aren't exactly all-star material. With so many players adjusting to the pro game at the same time,it's no wonder they have a lousy record.Beach has had dominant games, invisible games and dumb games, sometimes all three in the same game, however he has shown improvement and is a long ways from being the worst player on the Hogs. It's early times yet, let's wait and see what happens through the rest of the year.If Beach and the rest of the kids have what it takes to make it,there should be a noticeable improvement in their play by seasons end.

????

That has been the knock on him....a prime example was his quiting on his team in Belleville.
