I wouldn't consider it "not even close": 1.63 ppg (McKenna) vs 1.53 ppg (Pelletier). Considering Pelletier being younger and coming back from an injury (broken arm) in the beginning of the season, I think he will improve more than McKenna as the season goes. Wouldn't surprise me if he closes the gap in points by the end of the season.
Not even close was a bit of a stretch on my end, but for now McKenna is superior. I think you could also argue with McKenna’s experience he has the edge.

There’s a 1 goal and 3 point difference between McKenna and Pelletier if they played the same amount of games. McKenna is not much better offensively and you can argue that Khovanov is if you want but he really isn’t. Pelletier is the most offensively gifted player the Wildcats have, watch some more of their games if you disagree and you’ll quickly realize.
You don’t know how Pelletier does in those missed games. McKenna is better as of now but he’s much older.

You don’t know but you can make a guess that he’s probably going to perform similar to how he has all season. Let’s see how things shake down by seasons end because there’s a pretty good chance that Pelletier surpasses McKenna by seasons end.

It’s possible yeah, I feel bad for the teams that’ll pass on Pelletier because of his size. If he goes past 20 he’s an absolute steal. I wouldn’t mind Calgary taking a flyer on McKenna in a later round either.

McKenna is definitely better but there’s no argument for Khovanov.

Really? I think Khovanov has more ability then both of them. He's just lazy sometimes and inconsistent. He is a much more controlling player then either one and drives the play.

Pelletier is better then McKenna also.

I feel there’s too much things wrong with Khovanov too say he’s at that level. If he can put it all together then sure but that’s some hard habits to break. And I feel McKenna is the better of the two for now, but it won’t last very long.

I see the Craig Button is on board the Pelletier train, I watched him play 3 times last year as a 16 year old and this kid has a motor and skills/sense to match. How has his skating improved in the last year? I would liken his skating to Mitch Marner predraft, if he could get to Mitch Marner now or even Brayden Point lite, I really like his potential as a top line offensive winger. I liked his strength on the puck as a 16 year old so i don't see concerns with that. Additionally, Jeremy McKenna went from 26 points in 66 games to 77 points in 68 games with Pelletier on his line. His 5.77 shots per game are likely a direct result of playing with Pelletier.

On the top line for Team Orr at the CHL top prospect game. Watching him with Dach and Leason should be fun.

Pelletier-Dach-Leason
Carroll-Suzuki-Williams
Guskov-McMichael-Clarke
Tomasino-Alexandrov-Mutala

Spoiler for my rankings. Pelletier is #3 behind Kakko and Hughes.

Okiedoke, I'll purchase a few Moncton games then.

This kid should be ranked higher. He's small, but he's got the fight, agility and speed in his game so his size won't deter him. Small players that got eliminated from the NHL are the ones who are slow, not quick, and soft. Pelletier is the exact opposite and he has a lot of skill + hockey sense in his game.

Hischier - 86 pts in 57 games
Zadina - 82 pts in 57 games
Pelletier - 80 pts in 57 games

And he’s till being ranked in the 20’s...

I addition to putting up good numbers, he has a much better +/- stat compared to the other forwards on his team. He sits at +28 compared to +18, +14 and+12... as a 17 yr old. Impressive.
