This guy is so impressive every time I watch him. He makes plays you just don't normally see when you get past a certain level of hockey. He is the best goal scoring prospect I've seen since Laine (edit - forgot about Bedard and Michkov). All the tools you need to be a good goal scorer - shot/hands/skating/size/IQ - it's all there. A definite #1 overall caliber prospect.

His skating is extremely good. I think that will help him separate from recent players that have somewhat struggled at the next level who could score with lackluster skating. He's really good

I honestly agree, though I'd say Eiserman is a much better skater than Michkov. Definitely has a better top gear. But if I'm being fair, I haven't seen Michkov at all this year besides highlights and am judging him based on what he did in his D-1.

Well, USAH coaching is often baffling to say the least. I don't think having Eiserman off the PP (was the same when I watched the U17s play Chicago recently) is defensible. There's been a lot of changes with the U17s though. Eiserman and Hagens have largely been split up since the U17 Challenge, their linemates have shifted a bunch, and Eiserman was playing center for a bit, too. They were just recently reunited. Part of the calculation is the expectations are different for the USHL vs tournaments against their age group. A U17 team in the USHL is going to struggle to win games. They of course want to win but they're playing teams that are largely 2-3 years older, so development is more of the primary goal. In the tournaments, they're playing against their own age group and they expect to win.

Usually they start doing the promotions and demotions about this time of the season now that the NTDP international tournament season is complete except for the U18 WJC.

I didn’t realize Colin White was such an elite scorer at that stage. I remember him as a really good first round prospect and a great underclassman at BC but this is insanely lofty territory.

White dominated the u17s the same year they had Matthews and tkachuk, for their birth year he was the furthest along at the time, the other 2 were late bdays but white was dominant

Eiserman and Hagens were obvious. Hutson makes sense, too, as the U18 defense is not very talented. It'll be interesting to see who gets demoted.

I'm most interested to see if they keep Hagens at his natural position - center - or if they move him to wing to load up the top 6 given Smith and Moore are already at center.

A Eiserman / Moore / Hagens line would be a ton of fun, but I'd rather see Hagens stay at center.
