I hope the Q can straighten Matteau out. A definate cheapshot artist and one of the most highly suspended players in the USHL during his two year span.

Duclair was ranked ahead of De luca, and Gauthier must have shown interest in the Q to be drafted that high.

You really think I'm biased? I'm a sags fan, so aside from the fact that I hoped my team had drafted Deluca in the 5th last year I don't give a damn.
Guillaume Gauthier reported to Rimouski and was traded to Drummondville for Jean-Philippe Mathieu at Chrismass. The kid will have a very good career in the QMJHL. He registered 18 points in 56 games with limited ice time during his Rimouski 30 games stint.
Haven't seen much of Deluca but I followed F.Gauthier's team more as we have his teammate Laurent Dauphin with him. He is a monster.

F.Gauthier definately yes he is as tall as they get and can skate with ok hands.
Deluca it will greatly depends on his attitude/development he probably won't get drafted.
I am not biased at all regarding Deluca, I just wanted to find out either way where he is going. Obviously I would like to see Anthony in Cedar Rapids but I have no control over that. I can just go by what his father has told me and what others on here tell be about their views of him going to the Q. As a player I can only comment on what I have read or seen in video highlights.
As I have stated I do not know how the Q works or what they can offer Anthony as far as education. I just know what Angelo has said about getting his son an NCAA education.

I don't know about the Biased part.. I see where your coming from, but you are definitely biased twords Matteau, and rightfully so..
As Armada said, certain Q teams can offer advances...
I will go with the statement: "Anthony DeLuca has the talent to attract such intrest."
which means that we can believe that he will be drafted and offered what Angelo is it ? Wants, which is an NCAA education.. an easy offer for Quebec..

Deluca tweeted that he is leaving for Camp in Cedar Rapids today......I am excited to see how he fits in with the Riders. I wonder if a Q team will still use a late round pick on him.

I hate to break it to you, but the kid is dead on. He is immature, self-focused, self-absorbed and has a horrible ego.
That being said he has alot of talent. It is ashame that he played high level hockey in Bantam and Midget and not one coach could improve on any of these poor characteristics. I am not a kid and The kid is dead on.

I would not argue too heavily against anyone from the West Island.
There are favelas on the W.I.
Kids get offered money that a lot of people make gross from 10 years of working to sign, only a handful or less get offered that. These are 17 year old kids for the most part. How many junior teams in the Q can afford that?
I will say that they have to produce or face going to the LHJAAAQ.

I have to say after meeting Anthony and his father today, I can say I could not disagree more with those saying self focused, self absorbed etc. He was more of a shy kid who looked like he had hard time taking compliments. I sat with his dad throughout tryouts today and lots of things were discussed as far as the offers on the table from the Q, their reasoning for going NCAA, etc.
Watching Anthony on the ice today, I was very impressed and to those that say he doesnt show great ice vision, I didn't see it. He had 3 assists in the first game and only took 2 shots that I can remember. He showed great ability to find open areas on the ice and get himself open. I can believe how stout he is. The kid is built like a linebacker. He is going to be a nice addition to Cedar Rapids.

In the Moncton thread, a poster says Flynn met with DeLuca, in Montreal.... Who knows if its true, but it's an interesting thought.
