I thought I would bump this.. He at about a half PPG...

Anyone seen him play recently ? How's he coming along ?

When I saw him, he looked good, I didn't see much so I won't go into full detail about his season. But he looked like he was adjusting well to the Q game and displayed his skill.

Played MidgetAAA this year for LacStLouis...

Lead the league in scoring, his numbers were inflated by Jo Drouin.

He is in his 2nd year of AAA due to NCAA commitments, Vermont, he is headed twords the USHL this year, was ranked top 10 in last years and this years Q draft.

He is expected to be drafted by the expansion Phoenix, and to report there, however that's only rumor.

For now he's USHL bound.

He's draft eligible next year, and as of now go late, 7th roundish if lucky, do to his issues.

And you had the chance played against him;)

What happened to him? He shrunk.

Last year, sources had him at 5'10", now the QMJHL site has him at 5'8".

Still wish he went the NCAA route for the good of his development but I'm glad he's finally hitting his stride in the Q. Looks like he's going to be a force with Rimouski and should definitely garner some interest from NHL teams.

My guess is he is a Jean-Sebastian Dea type of player from last year.

What's been going on with this kid this year? He seems to be dominating every game he's played!2nd in league points and goals behind only mantha.... What can you guys attribute to this?

Can anyone see him being drafted this year?

Possible he could get drafted. He was highly touted as a 14-15 year old. Still small though at 5'8, so that will scare some teams away but not thin weighing around 190-200.

Looks a bit like Emerson Etem. Great speed and great shot. Yesterday he scored at least a goal skating around a defenseman very easily. Takes a lot of shots as well. I didn't see him last year, so I can't tell what has changed in his change. But he looks very comfortable on the ice and is compensating offensively for Oke and Trainor not doing much for Rimouski.

Has worked on his playmaking. Apparently that was the knock on him. I've seen him set up some nice goals this year, so the work is paying off.

He may be small height wise, but the kid is built like a tank. If a team does their homework, I could see him being drafted if he keeps it up.

Anthony is a player I have followed ever since he was a USHL futures pick. Going undrafted last year, he put up 35 goals and 43 assists for Rimouski this year. Does he get drafted as a 2nd year eligible?

Is this kid going to go undrafted again? He's been on a goal scoring tear.

12 goals in his last 9 games. 2 goals tonight (still a period to play).

He's short, but really sturdy on his skates. Plays with a nice base, rarely gets pushed off the puck. Looks like a pretty good skater and has good hands. And as you might expect with his goal totals, he can pick corners with the best of them. Always seems to catch goalies by surprise with his shot. He gets a look between the dots, its going in the net. Nice weapon on the PP.

He was pretty much on par with Duclair in midget and just below Drouin, strange he went undrafted with his skill level.

He had attitude issues.

If it was "just" attitude issues, Some teams would have took a chance on him, it's not like he seems completely unmanageable on the ice, and as far as I know, Beausoleil never really badmouthed him publicly.

The biggest issue with DeLuca to me is that he is not versatile. He justs shoots, and shoots again. While he is dominant at it the juniors, he would be too much of a one-trick pony at the pro level with seasoned defencemen.
