I agree he's shaky at best, he has 5 guys clogging the front of the net to protect him, so we can't get to the rebounds, if we get to some of these rebounds he will look even worse

I think it was the Rangers just didn't fight with the exception of that 5 minute portion of the 2nd. If they fight and play a normal game against a goalie that isn't sharp. They're preparing for the finals. Montreal obviously remembered there was a series and played like a desperate team, kudo's they outplayed the Rangers in every facet except goaltending. Meh wasted opportunity.

Henrik just choked in the biggest game of his career. The good news is that Thursday night is now the biggest game of his career and he has a chance to erase that from all of our memories. I have faith in my King.

How can anybody be screaming their head off at Hank? He had a bad game. It happens. They've got 2 more cracks to close it out.

2 more cracks?

Technically yes. However, does anyone want to see if the King can win another game 7 ? in Montreal?

In mind, 6 or pack your bags for the summer.

I haven't said anything in relation to Hank, I don't care about one game. That said, who the hell are you, or anyone else for that matter, to tell anyone that they can not critique him. That's patently ridiculous, if people are allowed to heap praise on him then those people should in turn be fine with criticism.

lol "you don't deserve him." It's fans of the player like you, that make criticism all the more vehement. If you would ignore it most of it would go away.

Uh huh. Try having Pavelec for your starter 3 years in a row and then tell me about having a hardship in net.

That was not the biggest game of his career. In terms of career importance that Pens game 7 was more important to his career than game 5 holding a 3-1 lead in games.

Elimination games are bigger than last night's game in every single way IMO. You lose elimination games, you're done. You lose a chance to clinch on the road at game 5, you have two more chances. Say what you want about how game 7 isn't even a contest. You're wrong. A game is a game is a game and either team can win if it comes to that, which I hope to god it doesn't.

Hank is most of the reason this team is even playing anymore. People wanted him to step up and steal series and here he's done it. Sorry if he's not a key component in winning literally every single game all post season. That shouldn't be expected, or asked, of any goalie.

Well, whatever. Difference of opinion. I would say that the first opportunity he had to win and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals he played a sub-par game. Like I said though, the good news is now Thursday is the biggest game of his career, and he can erase that memory. I have total faith that he will.

No, not even close. Losing a game on the road when up 3-1 in a series happens all the time.

Also, Talbot was WORSE than Lundqvist (.750 / .789) allowing 2 goals on 8 shots after we tied it up. If you're blaming a goalie for the loss here, it has to be Prince Cam.

Game 2 says hi

Alot of people on here have the wost case of short term memory

This is our shot at the Stanley Cup Finals. It's once in a lifetime for alot of fans here. He can't have one great game and then call it a series. He needs to be great tomorrow and if need be, great in game 7, or he wasn't good enough in the series.

No, stop, come on. I'm not hating on Hank. The guy has been this franchise for a decade. The team in front of him was not very good yesterday. But neither was he. He didn't play well, by any standard. I don't blame him for the loss, but he underperformed in a position to take us to the Stanley Cup finals.

I'm not arguing that he played well. He didn't. But this is far from the biggest game of his career.

Like I said, that's a difference of opinion. This is the farthest he's gotten at the NHL level, and had a chance to win and go to the SCF. I don't know how much bigger it gets than that. A game 7 in round 1 or 2 are big games, but last night and tonight, IMO, are bigger. I'm not talking about international play. It's just a matter of opinion as to how big the game is.

All signs point to a rebound performance. Like I said, I have faith in him. He's rarely let us down. We have no reason to think he won't come up with a huge game tomorrow night. I'm still confident.

Meh, he can afford to lose last night. He can't against Pittsburgh in game 7. He can't against Philadelphia in game 7. Those are the bigger moments.

If this series goes to game 7 then THAT will be the biggest game of his career - when there is no margin for error(s) like last night. He knows he's got at least two more shots and that is, arguably, why the team relaxed in front of him. I'll agree to disagree.

Funny how it's lost in all of this, but Tokarski **** the bed just as bad last night, Rangers just played like ass and the Habs less so. Going to have to figure it out real quick. Not worried about Hank coming back and playing big, but that team play was atrocious.

So then the team is responsible for the game 7 wins, not Lundqvist. How does this work?

Lundqvist himself said that wins should be credited to the team and not to goalies. Not quite sure what your argument here is.

His performances in game 7's have obviously been better than games where they can clinch. The team has been better in game 7's as well.

I agree. Getting one win away from the finals doesn't come along every year, but the title of this thread is so laughable. Last night was no where near as big a game as the previous game 6 and 7s he has played, which were all elimination games for us(except round 1). 10-2 in his last 12 elimination games. Oh he sucks so bad :sarcasm:

You either saw '94 or you didn't, but It's not once in a lifetime for anyone. People live longer than 20 years now.
