Panarin did a reverse Samson, and he's carrying this team on his back, and breaking records while doing so

Laffy is creating chances, getting points, skating has improved.

Yet, when talking about our "1C" (f*** that, it's Trocheck), we have to treat him with kid gloves.

The same people crying that we are too mean on Zibs are the same people that have no problem picking apart and ridiculing a Schneider or a Jones.

I'm not mentioning Kakko because I am done with him.

Way to deflect! You made the point that we're less than 20% the season in, so that's what, still preseason, because there's been some BS excuse that he's a "slow starter". He's the living embodiment of what people are referencing when they point to the country club atmosphere that has pervaded our locker room. Why should anyone get to take 1/5 of the season off like he has?

It's not nonsense. It's the same every year. The team has a great record, thus giving justification to bury any bad but legitimate observation. Panarin is carrying a bunch of dead weight currently. If it were last year's Panarin, I'm afraid to think where we'd be in the standings.

This in spades. I love what our team has done the first month of the season, but we still have many of the same warts we had last year. Winning has masked a lot of them, but watching Zib play soft & continue to disappear 5v5 is not an indication that things will change during the playoffs.

Kakko needs to take pucks hard to net and be a bull in a china shop ala Big Val in Colorado. Val is a stud defensively and a 55+ point guy. I would sign up for that right now. Kakko has a defensive conscience but needs to bring the offense around. I am not panicking. I am sure the same clowns killing 13 are now on their knees for him.

It's not just him missing one-timers. I honestly thought by removing Kakko from that line would be a service to him as Kreider and Zibs are playing braindead together.
