Don't look now but since the Carolina game we've scored 4, 5, 4, 3, and 5 goals. Our PP hasn't had more than one goal in any of the games other than the Detroit game. Mika's line is still MIA 5 on 5. Fox is still out, Chytil is still out.

Zac Jones sucks though

Having a 7D that isn’t mentally handicapped is huge. The difference between Fox and Gus is smaller than the drop off from Jones to Harpur/Hajek. Last year our 3rd pair would have been decimated in this game. Instead they were responsible for both Vesey goals tn

Not to get technical, but in his situation he made it sound like the defensive player scores a TD on the fumble recovery.

They can review that and consider it a fumble, but it cannot be ruled a TD. They would get the ball at the spot of the recovered fumble.

Last night, the review turned a dead play into a goal. A play blown dead in the NFL can not result in a TD.

I know its not a long term solution but pre TDL Jimmy Vesey should get a shot at playing RW with Mika and Kreider

It’s pretty obvious solution at this point given options. Vesey is not ideal there in the long run but in comparison he’d bring a lot more to that line than Wheeler at this point.
And if we’re breaking up the 4th line anyway, I’d also try either Goodrow or Wheeler as a center between Cuylle and Kakko. My vote would go to Goodrow.

Vatrano is not a first line player. He’s not even top-6. Different skillset but the gap between him and Vesey is closer than Vatrano and a legitimate top-6 forward. My original point that I wanted to underscore is that it’s a panic move, you can ignore the rest if you wish.

When a Jimmy Vesey is out producing you on 5v5, when Laf has more points than you even when he's not being forcefed PP minutes, and all you can produce is a single assist in what is supposed to be you bread and butter, f*** that! It's a legit criticism.

Kakko is expendable. Zibs is not, for all the wrong reasons.
