Confirmed with Link: Lucas Raymond signs 8 year extension

I think this contract is going to be the real steal between this and Seider's. Raymond has that "it" factor IMO that you see stars possess. At the end of last season he was really putting it together and starting to truly dominate games I dont think we've seen anybody in Detroit do since the days of Datsyuk/Zetterberg.

I expect 80+ points of him this year and an outside chance at 90+, with strong 2 way play. I think in 3 years this is regarded as one of the best contracts in the league, much like Jack Hughes.

Set to be included in Sweden's Four Nations squad.

MÅLVAKTER
Filip Gustavsson, Minnesota Wild
Jacob Markström, New Jersey Devils
Linus Ullmark, Ottawa Senators

BACKAR
Rasmus Dahlin, Buffalo Sabres
Rasmus Andersson, Calgary Flames

Gustav Forsling, Florida Panther
Erik Karlsson, Pittsburgh Penguins
Jonas Brodin, Minnesota Wild

Elias Pettersson, Vancouver Canucks
Lucas Raymond, Detroit Red Wings

Can’t believe the odds on this. I wanted him for 80+ points but couldn’t find it on there.

Are people actually surprised by the production? I thought the contract looked fantastic right away. I see a player capable of 100+ points for a career high

Raymond had a huge hot streak at last season end.

If I include this to current season scoring (31 last team games) The Top10 scoring at NHL would be:

1. Kucherov 51p
2. Kaprizov 49p
3. MacKinnon 48p
4. Marner 44p
5. Eichel 43p
6. Panarin 41p
7. Necas 40p
8. Reinhart 39p
9. Bratt 39p
10. Raymond 38p
-----------------
11. Rantanen 37p
12. D.Strome 37p
13. Hagel 37p
14. Draisaitl 36p
15. B.Tkachuk 36p

And Lucas is by far the youngest player of all these names mentioned. So we can think the potential is sky-high, to become one of the best players at NHL, when he will reach his prime. After 5 years, he could be there at Kucherov/Kaprizov class, when we look this again.

Hell of a year, Laughed at posters who said he could trend towards 90 points... Believe it was Datsyuk that first said it, well well well look who's laughing now ay? :naughty: 😆 🤣

I haven't taken the time to check this, but where is McDavid? Not sure what stats you're using but he's got 31 points this season alone

He was sitting out a bunch (resting for playoffs) at the end of last season.

I can replicate his results by going to naturalstattricks, and filter for forwards, and separate team results (there's a few Utah / coyotes players that are also on that list).

Without the filters I think he was 15th highest scorer in last 31 games.
Very cherry picking, but I guess shows his potential.

The problem with this kind of bet is if he misses 15-20 games you're f***ed.

12 points in his last 8. He's at over PPG right now and might have more in the tank, is it time to start talking about him not just being a star but a potential superstar? He's looked terrific.

Raymond has the best chance at cracking a 100pts since who…

Stevie? I know Pavs and Hank never got 100, but they were damn close.

If not this year probably within the next two years of his career. It then again he does remind me of Datsyuk and Z. Responsible and balanced player who may sacrifice a few points for the good of the team.

Fedorov has the last two 100 point seasons. Won the Selke both years...

Leading Larkin by 9 points, yes it's a surprise for me

Would like for him to do some tampering in less than a month at the Four Nations tournament, plz. 🙏

RAYMOND TALLIES FOUR POINTS TO HELP RED WINGS STAY HOT
Lucas Raymond
(1-3—4) became the first Red Wings player to record a four-point outing this season and 31-year-old Dominik Shine made his NHL debut as the Red Wings (24-21-5, 53 points) won their third straight contest to move within two points of the Lightning (26-19-3, 55 points) for the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.

* Raymond, who is just over two weeks away from donning a Sweden jersey at the 4 Nations Face-Off, became the third Red Wings player to reach the 20-goal mark this season (also Dylan Larkin & Alex DeBrincat w/ 21) – this marks the first time Detroit has had three players reach the benchmark through 50 games in a campaign since 1995-96 when Vyacheslav Kozlov (26), Steve Yzerman (24) and Sergei Fedorov (22) did so.

* Raymond recorded his third career four-point game and became the sixth Red Wings player with as many at age 22 or younger. He joined Steve Yzerman (11), Marcel Dionne (7), Sergei Fedorov (5), Gordie Howe (5) and Dale McCourt (4).

The thing I absolutely love about Ray is that when the games get tougher or we need a response he steps up. Not a lot of guys his age do that. Health is always a huge factor for final numbers but I think he has 100pt potential soon if he can get close to a full 82 in a couple of seasons. If healthy, I think he gets close to Pavs 97 from his prime.

I really can't wait to see him get a chance at playoff hockey. Contract is already a steal.

Called it. Superstar.

If he keeps up this rate of production his contract is amazing.

He and Mo locked up, with others coming on, should allow the Wings to keep the young roster together for a good run at the Cup for more than a few years. I'll do the unthinkable and say Hedman Stamkos core type run.
