Lucas Raymond, 19 years old, 22 points in 24 games

1 more center for the Wings and their rebuild probably looks to end in the next 2 years.
I wonder if they could make a serious play for Eichel without moving much off their current roster? Do the Sabres bite on...

We do not want Jack eichel in detroit, especially for that price. Way to gut our team. Someone else can trade for him and run the risk of an injury prone player who hasn’t played in a year with questionable attitude. I’d rather just keep building through the draft

He will be a 90 plus point player in his prime. His greatest attribute is his IQ. He thinks the game at a higher level than almost everyone on the ice. Combine that with his skill and when he finally bulks up even more watch out. He will be a marner/panarin hybrid.

Him and Seider probably keep us wings fans sane this season. Finally something positive.

Exactly

Some of our prospects aren’t as much of a sure thing by any stretch but these two have pretty much come as advertised

Hopefully Larkin having more players like these two will finally shut up some naysayers

Weird how he can perform so much better in the NHL than in the SHL.
1 - he had a great start in SHL last season, then dropped off. We will have to see if he can keep performing at a high level this season.
2 - SHL is a difficult, low-scoring league.
3 - his season ended early, he had a long offseason where he seems to have made strides in numerous areas.

I don't like the Redwings, can't say why, just never really have. You do however have to respect them as a franchise. Model franchise in terms of consistency and successful making the playoffs for, what, 21 consecutive years? Winning 4 cups in that time. It was inevitable that they would have to bottom out after that much sustained success, which of course they have, but their rebuild looks swift and well structured. I think in 2-3 years they will be a problem in the league once again. A lot of nice pieces they have.

Eichel is damaged goods. But I'm willing to give up the 1st for him.

Was also utilized in very weird ways. Was not getting 1st line minutes.

i actually don't mind that at all. i think buffalo would try to hold out and get raymond or seider, they wouldn't get either but i don't blame them for wanting one of those two.

I was hoping for him at 5. Happy with Sanderson, but drafting Stutzle and Raymond would have been something.

Glad Red Wings fans have some pieces to get excited about!

Grabbed both Raymond and Lundell in my fantasy pool... Just waiting for the NHL front office offers to start flooding in.
