7-6 isn't inherently exciting either. Not mad, just very lacking in entertainment value. This was by Caps hockey a complete blowout. "Low event" hockey where they didn't have a shot on goal for, what, 14 minutes?

It wasn't exciting, but it definitely felt inevitable. I didn't find myself anticipating anything other than a Rangers win for 99% of that game.

You say that like it’s a bad thing. I'm ok with zero heart palpitations in a playoff game.

I thought the rangers played a solid game. Only part of their game that disappointed me was the PP. They looked out of sync on it. If they can get it going the Caps don't have a chance.

Caps pk was very aggressive. They did a good job. Our pp shud get better throughout the series as we get in sync.

The Devils board takes are chef kiss. We suck. Guess they’ve missed the entire year.

There used to be some decent knowledgeable posters on there but the lunatic reality-free extremists that swarm that board like roaches drove them off. Their party line is that the devils have the best core and that mystical extraneous factors prevent them from winning a cup every year. If anyone posts anything positive about any other team, they get attacked and driven off. What a bunch of losers.

The Trouba-Gus pairing is what we've been waiting for in the third pair forever.

The third and fourth lines dominated the caps and put a f***ing hurt on them every shift - they really have no answer for Rempe and Goodrow laying out punishing hits every shift. I'd like to see what shape Carlson is going to be in by game 4.

Talk about setting the tone - followed by that whiny little caps guy bumping into Rempe while Rempe is following the puck and getting smashed for his trouble. That's gotta have thrown Lindgren and Carlson off because neither were in good position for the floater by Vesey.

Big plays by your big players for the Laf-Tro-Panarin goal and then greasy, dirty, chaotic goals like Vesey's.

We did? We badly outplayed them. The Caps had like 2 high danger scoring chances the entire game and their one goal went off Mika's skate. Rangers were patient and didn't force things. They also put 4 behind Lindgren and hit the post once.
