wow everything else being equal, the season series with CGY was the deciding factor

i still can't wrap my fingers around that fact

Hopefully they have their priorities straight, and don't play in the WCs. I'm looking at you Kopi.

You can be 90% sure he will play. He is really close friend with majority of our national players and Sochi only strenghten this. And with Kopi this will be almost identical team as it was in Sochi. His dad is still NT coach.

He will rest for at least 14 days and will join team maybe one week before start of WC. And by middle of May he'll be on vaccation again. And he won't be overloaded with ice-time.

More than that, Doughty, Gaborik, Kopitar, Williams, Brown, and Carter combined for 1 goal against the Flames this year. Lewis, McBain, Stoll, and Nolan had 4 combined. Toffoli's hat trick was cancelled out by Gaudreau's.

1-2-2 against Calgary, so the Flames were 4-1. Flames had 8 of 10 points, Kings had 3.

More then that, I'd say it all boils down to the loss at home to the flames when we gave up two goals with their goalie pulled back in December.

That game was the death of us.

And Winnipeg defeats Calgary 5-1. That would have meant a lot if we had defeated Calgary on Thursday. Ah, well. Que sera, sera.

We missed the playoffs by two points. We end the season with 95 points. Well the NHL in the end clearly didn't want us to win and aligned itself against us. NHLSPIRACY! Not even mad at this team a little. Still believe this is the best time I have ever had being a Kings fan. Regroup and win it next year. GKG!

We would've actually still missed the playoffs. Calgary would be in by virtue of the tie breaker. It's the Edmonton lost that killed us. We would be in, if we would've won.

It's been such an awesome four years. Hopefully things will go our way next season.

What a great career for Robyn Regehr. Hope these guys have a good summer.

Also thanks to Stoll, Richards and Williams for helping us with 2 cups. Now gtfo. and enjoy the rest of your lives

Kings Jarret Stoll on possible return "I would come back in any role"

Water boy?

Yoga instructor

I'm still out running errands since the end of the game but hearing that makes me a lil misty eyed. Can't believe Regehr is gonna retire too, still young. But better than burning out I guess.

What a freaking team. Obviously things change but will be very sad to see this championship team move on.

Just back from the game. The pregame and intermission videos almost had me misty eyed. Just seeing all the good times the team went through and then this disappointing season. The win was a small consolation though. Nice to go out on a good note like that.
