Taking size into account, Montreal is louder
Edmonton in 2006 and NYI 2013 are the two loudest I've ever heard (TV)
My vote would have to go to Winnipeg. It's always exciting watching the Jets play,a s the crowd is so into the game. They are, by far, the loudest Canadian rink. Chicago, Boston, and Philly would also be fairly loud I would imagine.
If the Jets make the playoffs, it will be bedlam. I attended a couple of playoff games in the 90's, and the noise was unreal.
Jets probably but I can't get onboard with how the fans react to the opposing team.
Top 3 Regular Season:
1. Winnipeg by far in the regular season. Seems to be intense and electric. Guess when it's -40 you gotta keep warm somehow. But they need to make the playoffs before I can comment on their post-season exuberance.
2. Montreal. The Bell Centre is usually rocking!
3. Nashville
Post Season (Historically)
1. Montreal
2. Philly
3. Edmonton
4. Ottawa
5. Chicago
6. Vancouver
7. Columbus
8. Winnipeg
9. Dallas
10. St Louis
Montreal is the loudest. They're loud regardless of how their team is doing (sorry Isles fans-but that's not the case with us).
It won't be as loud. Barclays is a large, airy arena with a high ceiling. The noise won't reflect.
Usually there is no booing now, not every team.
That was a year one thing.
Ahhh. Thanks. I thought it was smaller and would reflect the sound more.

I can understand why they do it however the team lost a lot of support from fans of other teams because of it.
Regular season it's Winnipeg hands down. Canadiens in second.
Post season it's the Canadiens along with a couple other teams.
Edmonton was great in '06, however who knows how many more fans we'll have with the inmates at the controls.
My top three are
1) MSG
2) First Niagara Center aka Sabres when we have a good team!
3)Tampa Bay fans always seem loud when we play them or the Flyers Arena.
I know right, he's basically saying: "what's the loudest arena? Oh wait, before you answer, it Winnipeg, and there's no way it's anyone else!!"
It's simple physics that it's Winnipeg. A smaller arena helps immensely. I've been to many arenas around the league and it's not close.
I had the pleasure of seeing games on back-to-back days in Montreal and Winnipeg recently. Montreal was significantly quieter just because it's so massive. I've seen drunk Habs fans almost knock each other out because they couldn't come to an agreement on how great Price was, so I'm not knocking their enthusiasm.
