The day has FINALLY arrived. May 8th: the draft lottery. Show starts 8 pm.

Only bottom 11 teams are in Bedard draft. Teams ranked 12-16 can only move up 10 spots.

Ain't the Molson family close to liberals. If it's the case forget Mitchkov it wont happen.
lol
you are out to lunch - this is nothing to do with politics and everything to do with having an asset that you have no control over their development and won't see for 3 years MINIMUM playing in a country at war.

Dvorsky over Mitch Kov? Button is the same guy who claimed that Mitch’s comparable was none other than Valeri Kharlamov, arguably the best talent to ever come out of Russia/ USSR.

Give that up for Dvorsky? Might as well shop the pick and get more than Dvorsky.
That's exactly what I said in the other 5th overall thread here. If Michkov is still on the board @ 5 and the Habs have no intention of drafting him (which I think will be the case) see if the Caps want to move up from 8th to 5th for a nice asset.

The Habs would probably still get one of their top rated guys, probably who they were likely gonna take @ 5 anyway, with the 8th pick plus get another asset, be it a pick or good prospect.

There looks to be a clear top 5 this year in Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Smith, and Michkov and the Habs will likely pass on Michkov if he's the guy left @ 5 but we'll see. I'll be very surprised if they take Michkov if he's available to them @ 5 though.

Should Mitchkov be available @ 5OA, the questions to ask is whether the Habs org are willing to wait 3-years for a 5OA pick, or do they have some intel that would have Mitchkov join the team beforehand?

Don't you think Jiricek has more offensive upside tho? Also which one of the two do you think would be a better compliment to Guhle?
Both would be great partners to Guhle, Jiricek has a superior shooting arsenal IMO while Reinbacher is a smoother skater and a sharper pucks distributor. Reinbacher is in the same tier as Jiricek, Seider IMO and should logically be our pick. There is a possibility they go with Dvorsky though, it will come down to their own evaluation.

There’s no way this team takes Dvorsky over Michkov is there ? That will be Bergevin level Gm’ing back in full form
It really depends on the information they got. If they fear he's not coming over ever, they won't be picking him. Otherwise he's the obvious pick.

Well duh
Visit site
All the reported shootings, doesn't look like Ferris Buellers Day Off anymore, and the mayor's seem against the police. But on this kind of stuff I'm happy to be wrong. Enjoy Bedard.
You know FB Day Off is a movie, right? Yes, Chicago definitely has its problems and it's worse than before COViD but it's hardly RoboCop world. Maybe visit a place before commenting on it. I'd enjoy Bedard a lot more if he was a Hab.

That is scary. Especially how in 3 years the war might have escalated to gigantic levels and he might not even be able to come in.
Well if Trump gets in he'll probably give the Donbas to Russia in peace negotiations. Russia just needs their ability to access the black Sea for oil production and they're Gucci. Really sucks for Ukraine tho

Or he may just say you have 7 days to GTFO or you will absorb the full force of the US military…sea, ground and air

I don’t like taking gambles on not taking the BPA , a strategy this team has built failure on since 94
