There isn't a team in the playoffs right now that has a negative W/L ratio in regulation. The Kings started this season 0-3 in regulation, didn't win their first game in regulation until the 12th game of the season, and were 2-9-6 in regulation before they won 4 straight in 60 minutes of hockey after mid November. Should they go out quietly tonight, they'll be 21-31-20 in regulation. They never recovered from the first month and a half of the season. Hell, they never recovered from the first game of the season. The Kings haven't been .500 in regulation this year, even once.
It was all 3v3 OT, and they just have too many regulation losses. Especially at home. Carolina, Vancouver, Arizona, Dallas, and Detroit among the number of regulation losses on LA ice. That's 10 points right there that a playoff team gets.
