MT on André Gateau: "I like his speed, it's important in this game". Nevermind that Therrien has them play a style that is as anti-speed and anti-offense that you can find.

I like the Habs' speed and transition game vs. the LA Kings' positionally sound, and hard-nosed style. This should make for a very entertaining hockey game, both ways.

Therrien actually values speed because most of our quality chances come from getting to the puck first after we flip it ahead. The system is not ideal to say the least, but he loves the counter-attack

Yeah , one hiccup tho , the Kings try to clog the center of the ice as much as they can so they can kill any speed involved out there ...

Don't have a good feeling about this game. The Habs are having problems generating shots and have been giving up tons. I expect the Kings to completely shutdown the Habs offense tonight like they've been doing to teams lately and Price will face an onslaught of shots.

It's gonna be a real test for the Habs tonight against a bigger Kings team that will likely punish them with their size. Hopefully Price can keep the Habs in this game and steal 2 points.

It's gonna be hard tonite. 2 times Cup winner big team with speed and hard checking. 2 big first center lines experienced filled with big and fast wingers. Solid defence and a american league best goalie last year, lol. Quick is injured but the rest of the team rules anyway, they have a solid chance to beat Price. This is a real team built for Cup winning, never they got anyone looking like Desharnais or Plekanec as 1rst or second center line, lol.
No, they are not RejeanHoule type of GM there, it's L.A. Kings !

Yeah, how to win : control the center of the ice, best way to control the game. They got the solution but Habs team never understood with stubborn concept of trying to win with small centers. Doesn't work.

Is Budaj starting? If so, I hope he gets cheered.

Speaking of former habs goalies.. I really wish we could have somehow kept Condon. I think I'd rather have him than Montoya atm.

Condon was thrown in an impossible situation last year with leaders who weren't doing their jobs. Rookie goalies in the NHL almost never play that many games.

He's looking damn fine with the sens atm.

Really wish Pittsburgh hadn't picked him up. They didn't even play him and leveraged a 5th out of him.. argh.

So Pacioretty is really with Danault and Shaw eh. Well, at least if he gets hot now, Desharnais will be in the pressbox for a while and Therrien will play the **** out of Danault who knows how to play defense.

Let's see tonight, I think we can expose the Kings with an aggressive fore check and a lot of puck chasing . Put the puck behind the D and go get it , put a lot of pressure on the puck carrier and create turnovers.

But , all this will work if the guys are ready to work hard and skate a lot tonight.

You never know with this team

Totally unfair what happened to him. I hope he has a good career.

Galchenyuk
Plekanec
Danault
Mitchell

Not the greatest C depth, not the most skill or size, but each guy has value and 3 out of 4 are strong defensively (Galchenyuk is also coming into his own there as well.)

Scratching DD is such a major addition by Subtraction. Love it
