No way man. The 1st goal was "weak" on Hank in that the ****** LA ice had him sliding everywhere. I can't remember the 2nd goal, we all know how I feel about that 3rd goal, and the 4th goal is the result of ****** defense (though Hank could've stopped it).

This is the first game where Quick took it to Hank. Hank made the saves when they needed to be made in games 1-2, the problem is the Kings got a gift goal that took the game to overtime, where any bounce can end it.

2nd goal nothing Hank can do, Stralman was letting King just stand there and block his view.

Hank "could've" stopped it. It was on McDonagh, but those are the stops he has to make. The ones that are barely possible to stop. That's why we dub him the best goalie in the world. He can make those saves. He's a big part of why we're friggin here.

I stand by my point that I don't blame him at all, but I'm disappointed in him.

We've done an amazing job to get this far.

They have and at the beginning of the year if you told me the Rangers would be in the Finals I would've been ecstatic...it will just suck if they lose the finals in a sweep especially since they haven't been out played that bad.

I'm not sure why some people are already projecting that it will be another 20 years before the Rangers get to the SCF, when this one is not done yet.

And even if they do lose, why would they not get there for another 20 years?
The stupidity is baffling.

Yup. Obstruction penalties are out the window and the NHL is mind numbingly inconsistent from game to game and series to series. Awful.

This is nothing new it's been happening for forever...every coach and player knows this, adapt and battle through you win.

Wow, the cheapest ticket on Stubhub for Game 4 was over a $1000 bucks earlier today and now its down to $606 and falling.

The bandwagon is emptying.

Difference between this team and the 93-94 team? Depth and talent.

The 93-94 team was a Stanley Cup favorite and was as deep as they come. The 11-12 team and 13-14 team weren't as deep as Stanley Cup favorites.

Team needs to have more players who contribute. Richards needs to go. Nash needs to go. They need to use that $14.4M to bring in players that are game breakers and make it count.

We don't have a Kopitar, Carter, Gaborik, or Williams up front. As good as McDonagh is, we don't have a Doughty. The Kings are just so much deeper. And you're looking at them facing arguably the most shallow team to make the SCF post lock out. It's a mismatch.

Did anyone really expect to win the Cup with players like Richards and Nash, players who are supposed to be key contributors, bringing nothing to the table? Every Stanley Cup winner has a multitude of guys who are having fantastic post season runs. We don't have that, AT ALL.

We should be proud of this team for getting this far

I had a blast

It would be nice to get a win at msg before it all ends

The one thing I will say... if people are looking to be cheered up:

If this team doesn't change significantly in the offseason (aside from buying out Richie; please oh please Glen, do this at least), I think they have a decent shot to get back to at least the ECF in the next few seasons. That said, with as many UFAs and RFAs as NYR has, that's going to be a pretty ****in big stretch. But we'll see. If it happens, and we get an upgrade in whoever replaces Richie (let's be real; it'd be hard to get worse), then I'm not seeing a single team in the Metro that I'm afraid of in the playoffs. Lots that can challenge - but none that are unbeatable.

And yes, this is virtually a 180 from my thinking about this team at the beginning of the season and well into this season.

Not saying the series is over - pointed out the **** that needs to change in my last post. But certainly doesn't look good. Trying to help out with the cheering up / cheer myself up. ;)

Well if that's the case he will get what he deserves, and no matter how many regular season wins he has, how many games 7's he wins if he doesn't win a cup he is nothing. He will be remembered well by us, but not revered like Richter.

Agreed that he won't be as revered as Richter, but I disagree that he deserves it. Lundqvist has never had as stacked of a team surrounding him as '94.

Quick did not make that first save on Zucc.. It hit the post. Never hit quick. Why can't any analyst see that.

Good night guys. Although i'm sure this will still hurt tomorrow and I will have that gut wrenching feeling of emending doom until game 4 ends, tomorrow is another day so let's see what happens, perhaps something good will come of all this.

It's because a lot of us know this probably won't happen again. Like it or not, we definitely were lucky to not match up with Boston, who can systematically execute this team. This run has been magical in literally every sense of the word.

MSL is 38. Richards is buyout fodder. Hank is 32. We have no 1sts for two years (though I can live without them after this run.). No high end talent coming up except for a few reaches. This is the year. If this team was eliminated in 5 by Pittsburgh we''d be *****ing about the same things we ***** about every off season. No high end scorers, no #1 center, etc. This is the same flawed team everyone has complained about all season.

Just being real with this post.

and neither do you....but clinging on to hope being down 3-0 in the Stanley cup finals against LA of all teams smacks of desperate....better things in life to hope on the rangers of all things imo

And there are better things in life than to be negative all the time.

I can't see how you can be disappointed in him. If things are called as they should be, we win 4-3. Game 1 Hank was the sole reason we got to OT.

Tonight was the only game Hank was "bad." He could've stopped the first two shots. In fact, he should've stopped the 1st one and since he's Hank should've stopped the second one. But Hank has been very good this series.

Also, to the dude saying Hank won't be as revered as Richter: Maybe not by you, because all you've done all season is cry about Hank. Guess what? Win or lose this series, and even if Hank gives up 10 goals on Wednesday, he's the best goalie in Rangers history. ****ing deal with it, already.

I'm disappointed in everyone, including Hank and AV. The reason I'm so disappointed is they could have been winning this series if they were sharper. Dumb play after dumb play. Absolutely excruciating.

Who cares if Quick made the save or the post did? I don't. It didn't go in.

Rangers in 7. Believe, guys. Come on. Think about it. What have we got to lose? Are we going to give up on our team now? It looks bleak, and mathematically we are probably not going to win, but hockey isn't mathematics. Believe. This team has proven time and time again this season that it can come back when its back is against the wall. We came back from 3-1 down v. Pitt. We won 5 straight after that. We just need to win 4 straight this time.

Believe. If we lose, we can start talking about sniping Joe Pavelski away from SJ.

That's my mindset too. Win or lose, I'm proud of this team. No one expected a run to the finals.

Don't expect another one anytime soon. It is a shame that they have squandered this opportunity. Many of them won't get to the finals ever again.

Hank should be more revered than Richter, and I don't care what anyone else says. Again, he hasn't been bad this series at all. I just expected better from him when he finally got his shot in the finals. That's the disappointment.

Have to buy out Richards. Try Miller as the replacement.

Use the savings to pay the UFAs and RFAs.

Might think I'm nuts, but I'd actually look to sign Callahan, not at 6.5 for tons of years, but I'd do 5.5 a year for 4.
