GDT: Los Angeles Kings at Winnipeg Jets - March 1, 2015 - 1:00 p.m. (PST)

I don't mind saying that this has been a piss poor game for the Kings. It's pretty hard to single out any one player when the entire team is looking like a minor league bunch. Like I said some time back. DL is going to have his hands full with this mess in the off season.
 
This team is tired. They played most games out of all teams in the last three years. Brown is worse every year. Stoll and Greene are done. Las final was the last hurray for JW and so. And suddenly Kopitar is the problem with most of the team playing like ******* most of the year. Except for stretches when Carter decide to play. Try Carter as a first line centre against top lines and he will fail miserably.
 
Kopitar has been awful. Carter has been sub-par for large stretches, Brown and Williams have looked like they don't care. Stoll obviously knows he has no consequences for his play. You need to basically play at an AHL level for 125 games to lose your spot on this team.

This is why I think the "Bringing the Band Back" thinking isn't a good one, in 2013 complacency set in, and I think it's even worse this year.
 
The wise direction to head into in the offseason is to let the old fossils walk away and get a bit younger and faster by promoting from within or acquiring guys in the offseason who can make quick plays with the puck.

Bringing back the band would be fine if the band wasn't 20 people. 5 people would be fine.

Agreed. Let Stoll and Williams walk. Let Shore, Andreoff, and Weal take some of those spots.
 
Holy Martinez jebuz ****ing Christmas. You guys are acting like its the falling of Rome. Yeah the team is sucking and is in a slump and yeah the vets are screwing the pooch but for **** sake ya'll need to calm down and take a step back and being so emotional. This team has won two cups in 3 years, pulled miracles out of their collective ***** when up against the wall. You act they don't know what it takes to win and that they haven't given you fans **** in the last 3 years. So eager to throw them under the damn bus. This team has played its ass off and delivered. They either will again and go into the playoffs where its square 1 again or they won't.
They aren't perfect and if they are tired and out of gas then so be it. They have given me 2 cups in 3 years when we haven't gotten **** in 40+ they can suck ass for the next decade and I will salute them. As for the people giving Kopitar ****, if I were him I would blow you all off. 2 cups in three 3 years, just married and with a kid on the way, my mind wouldn't be on hockey. Its a damn game and they are people like you and I. Let the first perfect performance person start taking crap. Seriously everybody go drink and beer a chill.

Hoping to see you guys in the WCF again. I might nerve puke my way through the first two rounds given all that's happened the last week or so, but if we get there Hawks/Kings III should be fun!

I don't know if it was complacency in 2013. Mitchell was out, Greene was out, Muzzin was a rookie, Scuderi played too much, Martinez was in and out, etc. Similar this season. Mitchell is gone, Voynov is otherwise occupied, Doughty and Greene are playing too much, McNabb is basically a rookie, Regehr and Martinez have been in and out.

Kopitar couldn't score in 2013 either, but the team was top 10 in goals per game.
