Logan Couture couldn’t hit the side of a barn.

And that’s surprising because he spends a lot of time near barns.

:laugh::laugh:

On one hand these comebacks are encouraging.

On another, put half that heart into the whole game and we would be fine. Getting pretty sick of that **** b

I hope I am proven wrong guys, but it just seems like a throw away season. The Kings are a great team, but it's tough to ask this team and staff to overcome all the negatives that have happened since A-Mart scored in OT to win the Stanley Cup.

- The Loss of Mitchell has been more massive than anyone could have possibly imagined, especially on the PK. Add in losing Voynov after a handful of games and that crippled the Kings season. Matt Greene looks like he is on the last legs of his NHL career, he just can't keep up.

- The average play of Justin Williams. He was the playoff MVP last year and the Kings needed every bit of him. He hasn't had a poor year but they need more. Brown can be throw into this group, the Kings need more from these guys.

- The continued collapse of Mike Richards and the restrictions his awful contract puts on DL when it comes to improving. The Kings really could have used him getting back to atleast a third line level but he is completely done, I wouldn't be shocked if he is out of hockey in a couple of years, by choice or not. I can't think of a player in Kings history who fell so far so fast without a catastrophic injury.

- Kopitar and Carter struggling to consistently play at an elite level. Carter was hot early but slowed down, Kopitar got off to a dreadful start, got really hot and is now kind of in between.

- The simultaneous injuries to Pearson and Toffoli. This may have been the final dagger. The Kings just didn't have the horses to handle these injuries.

Absolutely spot on. Lombardi has been amazing for the Kings organization and has put together a great tenure but his loyalty to players is starting to catch up to him. Matt Greene and Mike Richards should not be LA Kings right now. Willie Mitchell should still be here. It's very simple. Hindsight is 20/20 but this one was bad, real bad. I'm ok with this being a throw away season, it's quite disappointing but getting a good pick and the Kings organization finally realizing that there is an issue here, will be a good thing. Stoll needs to go too, time for some young blood and young guys.

A very well worded explanation for what's happened to this team this season.
Ones can criticize for others giving up hope for this season but, they have to be realistic and take a good look at what all has happened and what all continues to happen. Will continue to watch this team and have high hopes for them but in all reality, knowing what's ahead.

14-15-12 outside of that early 6-0 homestand. 5-9-7 on the road with more road games than home game ramaining

Yeah, we do suck at putting our heart and soul into boring-ass regular season games like the choking Sharts and Ducks.

You guys keep saying things like that but it's not showing much class and they're going to beat us in the playoffs sooner or later....possibly this year, IF we make it in at all.

Boys, that was pathetic.

BTW, that kind of selfish play by Courture, shooting at an empty net from his own zone with at one goal lead is why the Sharks will never win jack.

It's the annual December/January doldrums. A Kings tradition since '67.

I think this one is a bigger issue than usual. I also think that last season we were in a playoff spot this time and never lost it, same with the season before. Only season I remember not being in a playoff spot at this time of the year was in 2012. I could be wrong though.
