Richards isn't earning his paycheck either, but I really think Stoll should be on the 4th line.

Would rather have seen McNabb in there than Nolan since at least McNabb brings some physicality to the team.

McNabb was unavailable, why does everyone keep acting like he's a healthy scratch?

Also, is Derek Forbort really that bad? The dude can't play over Schultz and McBain? I mean, cmon kid. I know you're a project but it's been 5 years, let's get the ****ing show on the road here.

Can't be worse and I know we're looking for experience but we need some life.

I get it--roster concerns with no Gaborik, McNabb, Voynov, etc., and sickness, and 3 in 4 on the road and 5 in 7 total, but if you have the energy to corsi the bejesus out of the other team, you have to have the energy to get to the net and do something about that possession.

Feels like we're trying too hard.

I know he was unavailable. I'm just saying I would rather have seen him in there than Nolan. But I understand why you thought I was assuming he was a healthy scratch.

Everyone looked so tired, maybe this is a tired group of players. Dunno how else to explain this. Win the stanley cup, then next year conference finals, now last year stanley cup. Do you guys think that this is finally catching up to the team?

I don't think that has anything to do with it at all. The Kings have just been playing so inconsistent all season.......great plays some games, horrible plays the next. It's irritating as hell to watch because we know what they can do and yet, can't seem to put it together constantly.

need to just let teams outplay us

LA randoms: 15 SOG against, lowest this season. Gave up 20 SOG or less 6 times, record 2-4. Tracking for 92-93 pts, 8 seed total last year

I love this team but I have to wonder what Suter is up to. We need to shake things up a bit somewhere between now and the playoffs. Maybe try playing big again or going back to shut down hockey a la Terry Murray. I dont know, losing sucks.

Sutter basically wants to make the playoffs. But, geez, the team is playing with fire...

I know it's a ridiculous excuse but people need to realize how important Voynov was to this team. A top 4 Dman, 2nd unit PP, played on the PK. The guy was a very important piece to the team. I think management is hoping that Martinez can just slide into his spot, I think he can, but that leaves us with a much weaker 3rd pairing. Brayden McNabb has been great, actually, he's probably been our brightest spot this season. Matt Greene is tough to watch out there and as much as I hate to say it, we miss Robyn Regehr. These damn injuries are starting to kill us.

Not the same team as last year. Sutter has been saying it all year. People need to accept it.

Kings will be lucky to make the playoffs with the current defense core, and road woes.

Not even mad anymore about losses, this is a bubble playoff team with this roster. Dean Lombardi has some work to do.

Epic game. Calgary again puts up the blue print on how to destroy the Kings...

Man I really don't want the Kings to be the 2nd team to lose to the Oilers in over 20 games.... :(.... got to get a win tomorrow....

Missed McNabb's hits....

Or Sutter may have to get out of his comfort zone and stop playing grinders on every line....

Yeah you're right team is done... was a good run while it lasted....

Lol. Hard to be mad when you're at nearly 70% Corsi for the game, but the same issues that have plagued us in the past plague us now--lack of getting to the front of the net to capitalize and a few moments of breakdown. These charts are good for comic relief, though.

Not just Voynov, Mitchell. We've lost an entire second pairing for nothing and just like when we integrated Muzzin in 2013 we're integrating McNabb now. Growing pains are fine, but our D is still an issue.

Yep. I'm starting to believe that as well. We look like world beaters most nights but it's clear that we finally solved our offense after years but that our defense have taken a large step better. The good side of that imo is that it's a very clear weakness for DL to address.

I feel like we have this discussion every year. This team truly sucks in the regular season, no other way to put it lol

Tanner Pearson's production fell off a cliff. But we have to expect that , he is a young player.

Flames have won five of their last seven versus LA.
